  1. Apparently everyone who has had TB this year got their medical done at the same time. Ridiculous... Now debating going ahead and having my wife take her medical now even though we're likely a few months away from the next step...
  2. Has anyone received an expedite or been moved forward in the process from NVC since the last group?
  3. Literally all I'm gonna do on our interview day. We truly are the most useful people.
  4. Yep that's how stuff works here Glad you were able to get an appointment since time was of the essence. Keep us updated!
  5. We saw this as well and weren't exactly sure what they mean by it - registration entirely isn't available after the 17th? So they'll have to go in person to register? Or just the online counseling won't be available? I feel like everything is obfuscated on purpose to weed unserious people out or something.
  6. Apparently they're no longer doing online counseling, unfortunately. We just signed up for face-to-face counseling without visa on hand yet and the closest appointment was at the beginning of OCTOBER. Insane...
  7. This is a fear of mine as we approach DQ - the CFO process is a complete joke. There's no accurate information anywhere and everything is case-by-case or counselor-by-counselor. The fact that it's required at all is outrageous. I've heard so many different things - I've heard of people walking in with a visa on hand and getting an appointment. I've also heard of people being turned away in the same scenario. I've heard that they've cancelled online counseling entirely but there's no official announcement or anything for this. I've heard that you can't schedule CFO without visa on hand, but I've also heard that you can schedule it at anytime and request the sticker once you do get the visa. It's really a frustrating way to cap off a long, arduous and anxiety ridden process. Your comment is also the first time I've heard of people getting CFO at the airport ... rather than official information we get word of mouth from Facebook and have no idea if it's accurate or not
  8. Curious as to how long us folks who were DQed recently or are going to be DQed in the following weeks are going to have to wait. Surely not 6 months .. right? right?
  9. Hopefully they don't take another six month break... I'm just about to be DQ lol
  10. To give you a point of reference, we're currently at the NVC stage waiting for confirmation there and then interview, probably a few months out. We applied last June 28th. I'd guess we'll be done by the end of this year at worst.
  11. I'm fine with just default Tanduay. It mixes well and is cheap as hell.
  12. It's wild because late last year you'd hear people getting expedited for no reason... then they just stopped. Nothing makes sense with what they're doing. I do understand that a lot of folks are applying for fiancee visas because they're being processed faster than tourist visas and are much more likely to be approved than tourist visas. The whole process needs to be fixed.
  13. Just getting to the NVC process, so a bit anxious about the building backlog at USEM.
  14. Don't look at the processing time tab because the number is never accurate. Expect 11-13 months based on the cases being approved right now.
  15. Approval notice is in my inbox on the USCIS site. Approved June 8th. Step one down! Apparently this got sent to the California Service Center from Vermont via Nebraska... They're shifting things around a lot it seems.
  16. Do not look at this tab. I feel like we need an automated message for this forum The tab is inaccurate and only serves to add anguish and anxiety to applicants.
  17. Bringing this to the top past all the spam. No updates yet but excited to get the next step done soon.
  18. Do not look at this tab. This tab is not accurate and provides no useful information for your case. It's insane and incredibly insensitive that they even added it to give people false hope.
  19. 3200 is just fine for a private car. You can definitely save a lot by using the bus, but you won't get directly to the embassy from Angeles.
  20. Do not look at this tab. It is not helpful. Hopefully they removed it entirely.
  21. Just ignore that tab completely for your own sanity. There's no number on there that will be accurate to your case.
  22. It hasn't been missed. Usually takes 12-16 months to hear anything so we're just now around the minimum of that period. Those who get a response before that are outliers, unfortunately.
  23. Good to see a similar timeline to myself being handled in a little under a year. Also Nebraska -> Vermont -> ??? Seems like a bunch of cases around May/June/July got moved from Nebraska to Vermont and have been getting sent out / approved from there.
  24. No, the updated number is much more realistic. The previous number was very unrealistic and didn't seem to be based on anything. Set your expectations for August at earliest so that you're not disappointed, trust me.
