Lisa and I met in 2005.She was in Canada for a conference and I was introduced to her by a friend of mine who was also at the conference. I was able to take her siting seeing along the coast. I quickly became aware of what a truly wonderful person she is. I was saddened when she had to leave.
We continued to correspond upon her return to Georgia. It wasn't long before we realized that we wanted to see each other again so we arranged for her to come back up in the fall. It was a wonderful visit and we knew we wanted to see each other again but, because of work commitments etc, we had to wait until February of 2006. I flew down to Georgia and proposed to Lisa one moonlit evening along the banks of the river where we now live. Shortly after my return to Canada we filed our I-129 and the rest is history. A long WAITING history.
In July of 2007 we were married out on the dock by the river, on the very spot I proposed. (see photo).
We are happy beyond words with each other and our lives together. Aside from being married to a beautiful and wonderful lady, life in south Georgia is great.
