Oh absolutely! I agree with you. Give these people the facts and leave it at that. Now everyone will feel pressured to find some way to get married. It makes no sense! Either choice should be respected as you said. I personally feel any relationship that can survive this is pretty well equipped to deal with anything life may hand them. To kind of add on to your LDR talk, I totally get it! I love my fiancé so much but this is HARD. We know we are going to be together but I can’t help but be a little envious of those couples that are together every day and get to do the little things like fall asleep together or go to the grocery store together or just watching a show together. These are the simplest things that those not in this process take for granted. Going through this will remind me daily to cherish the little moments we have together because that’s what I miss the most. Just sitting and talking over a hot cup of tea in the mornings with him is what I miss…the little things 😭. This process surely isn’t for the weak! Oh exactly! Getting married online is insane to me!

Oh this one annoys me soooo bad!! There’s one group where literally EVERY admin is telling newer filers to go for CR1 because it’s “so much better”. Better does not equate with faster and people need to understand that! My fiancé and I chose to go this route and I don’t regret it at all. I mean, yes we will have to wait for the AOS but at least we will be together waiting haha. But in all seriousness, it’s hard for me to travel to Gambia from America. It’s very expensive and I have children. I’m also an RN so it’s kind of difficult to ask off work for a week or longer at a time unless it’s well in advance. By the time we’d even be able to consider the alternative, we would have already been close to done with this process! But yes, it’s annoying seeing admins recommending the CR1, like hello? What about us that are doing the K1? Way to make us feel crappy for our decision 😒

It’s crazy that when I see “newbies” asking on Facebook what the wait time is if they file this year they are receiving a response of a 16.5-18 month or longer wait for their NOA2 from other group members. Another complicated part of this process is the one million different answers one who knows nothing about this process can receive. A lot of the people in the groups have been waiting quite a while for their NOA1 and have become so negative about this process that they either spew wrong information or give people absolutely zero hope. I know it’s very frustrating for those who filed in 2021 and have seen no movement, but it’s so disheartening seeing constant negativity. I’ve yet again had to snooze some groups.

Definitely keeping the faith! I refuse to let ANY negative thoughts cloud my mind. This process is exhausting enough. Here’s to timely NAO2s for us all!

158 cases processed yesterday. Just 152 short of 1,000 this week 🙏🏾

This makes so much more sense. We have seen mass improvement in the last 2-3 months so if they are counting from 6 months ago, I can see where the whole 16.5 month estimate comes into play. We shouldn’t lose hope. The proof is in the numbers!

I’m trying to convince myself it’s too soon to do anything wedding related but I’ve accidentally picked out 10 different dresses I want to try on 🤪🤪. I also may or may not have chosen the beach we want to have our wedding 😅 no deposits yet, though. Just fun to plan!

I have been on a natural high ALL DAY LONG after seeing todays numbers! There is NOTHING easy about this process but when you have an amazing community to lean on, it makes it so much more bearable!! I’m a November filer and I’m starting to not feel like being back with my fiancé is light years away 😅

That’s what I would think too! Yesterday was fantastic so I bet that’s why today was just short but still good!! Tuesdays are my fave since it’s my day off lol! Either way I am SO excited!! These numbers are incredible!

They were just shy of 200 cases processed yesterday but that’s still amazing!!

Every single day I tell myself I won’t stress over numbers and then every single day I find myself…STRESSING OVER NUMBERS. Being cautiously hopeful is exhausting 😅

Can someone post this spreadsheet please? I’m currently following one, but it doesn’t have these extra details you all are mentioning.

I follow a couple of groups on Facebook and have honestly snoozed them both because I cannot stand the negativity it brings. A lot of people bring more opinions than facts and all it leads to is chaos, confusion, and arguments. This site has been a blessing to say the least! Congratulations!!

Oh, I don’t think you were aiming at taking away my happiness . However, if I post something to give hope and excitement and you post under my comment to basically kill the vibe, it’s not well received. I always appreciate facts and I also like to spread happy news. But anyways, yes, the less filers, the faster the process for any case which is good news for everyone 🙂

Good news to me is still good news to me 🤷🏾‍♀️. March only has a little more than 1100 more than January, at the rate they are going, good progress will still continue to be made.

I saw a post on Facebook that said there are only 2561 January 2022 cases pending. If so, that’s insane! (In a good way)
