  1. You’ve joined the right community as many on here have done their immigration process diy without the assistance of a lawyer, although some do. The many vets on here that assist and help are very knowledgeable and helpful in steering you in the right direction. Yes once you file you can join in the monthly thread with others who are waiting with you there and share questions, suggestions, etc🙂 Here’s April 2023
  2. You’re welcome. If you click on the timeline beneath my username, you can see the entire process. Also you are right. USCIS seems to be approving cases rather quickly, especially those who entered on K1 visa who then AOS after marriage. Apart from my EAD that was issued last year there was no more response from USCIS. There were many cases filed in 2022 that got approved. The quickest I have seen this year is 45 days! So be prepared to wait it out or to be pleasantly surprised by a quick approval.
  3. Welcome 👋🏿 Please send in your AOS package ASAP. There is no such rule of waiting for 90 days. It is better to be in status when you file than to be out of status. Also you can upload evidence of joint lives as you get them I just recently got my AOS approved from ESTA. Interview was waived. All the best to you.
  4. Hello and welcome 👋🏿 Congratulations on your interview! What a cliffhanger that IO has you on! I truly hope your approval is a matter of days if not hours away as you await the final decision. Did you also mail in the RFE? As long as you have receipt of acknowledgment online then you’re good! I know that happened for us back in 2021 when we had to respond to the I-130. Most recently our upload to the I-130 to the NOID we got, garnered no response (after a week) of acknowledgement, so we sent it in via registered mail. Upon signing from the FO it was a matter of days for approval for both cases.
  5. Nope. Full out open destruction of America!
  6. You’re welcome. I actually had answered a question on the form incorrectly and uploaded under the “unsolicited evidence” my correct answer. I cannot recall the question number but it was very apparent in hindsight I had answered incorrectly. No RFE at all for my I-485, just my husband’s petition, the I-130.
  7. Destroying the nation comes to mind. They really don’t want people to move to other States anymore with this plan, they want people to move OUT of the country instead. Where do you go? When we look back at how much of a thriving nation Venezuela was before the Marxist ideology took grip, this is the same path this nation is on. I believe this will not end well. This was key from the article: So if you’re thinking of buying your first home, maybe you should start skipping some of your credit card payments or other obligations. If nothing else, you might get a cheaper mortgage. Reminds me a bit of the college loans. Everyone else who paid back their loans get punished yet those who cannot afford theirs get a “loan forgiveness debt”. Utter rubbish! Foolishness and makes a mockery of those who truly desire to want to better themselves in higher education. Will you really want to take out a mortgage now knowing that 2 doors down the people in that house have poor credit and your payments will be raised due to their lack of payments?
  8. Thanks! Apologies for the edit I meant to do yet didn’t☺️ You are correct about not being able to file the I-485 online, however the beneficiary is able to upload evidence and RFE responses on the online account that is linked to the I-485 on their my USCIS account. I did when I was in the process🙂
  9. Just from a personal perspective, be sure to mail in as well as upload. I know when my case prior to approval was hit with a NOID, (Notice Of Intent to Deny) we got no response from USCIS with the upload. When we mailed in we got response within a matter of days of receipt and action taken on our cases. HTH!
  10. As per @Mike E As per @Mike E’s suggestion. I missed that part of your message where she is now out of status. All the best to you!
  11. Answer the question the same way as you did in the original submission ie her status when she applied to adjust her status.
  12. I used to work for the airlines and laughed when I got it on my way to UA training years ago. The dreaded SSSS!
  13. I am so very very sorry to read your update💔 There was no such letter from and you’re being denied from reopening the case? Usually you can challenge them. Can you request a FOIA on your case? Didn’t you have an immigration lawyer who was assisting you? Or did you cut them loose at some point? This is heartbreaking! A 10 year ban on top is a knife in an already open wound. So only you and your baby can go there to visit. I’m sorry that I have no words of advice for you, only, if you can, look up Jim Hacking. He has tons of uploads on his YouTube channel. He and his team might be able to help you. Much love to you during this fragile time😔🌺
  14. Good find! Interestingly enough this is the same person that came to mind when I started reading this post last night. Read eerily similar!
  15. An arrest has been made in connection with the leaked classified documents that found their way online via a Discord server in March. The individual arrested is reported to be a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman with the Massachusetts National Guard. https://redstate.com/smoosieq/2023/04/13/breaking-fbi-has-arrested-air-national-guardsman-in-ma-in-connection-with-classified-document-leak-n730874
  16. Wonderful!!! Congratulations!!! This thread was better than any movie I could have watched tonight😀 Welcome home Anthony🇺🇸 🇫🇷
  17. Welcome to VJ🙂 I’m with @Crazy Cat and trying to understand why your attorney has suggested this? Factors such as FO backlog post-covid should encourage anyone going through AOS to mail in and upload evidence as they go. Leaving no room for RFE. Although USCIS has been known to lose documents it’s always good to keep a copy of what you send to them. Everything. Most recently on Reddit there was an alleged USCIS officer who stated the best AOS cases were those who had all the documents, including the medical, enclosed, as the turnaround for approval was quicker for those than for those who did not include the medical that would trigger the RFE and delays. For my own most recent experience we had a RFE for a signature I missed in 2021 for the I-130 which I know delayed our case significantly and then a NOID for it last month. I am stunned they didn’t deny us outright. Super thankful for the mercy the FO had over our cases. Please upload to your online account all the marital bonafides that you have - joint bank account, title deeds to vehicles and/or property for example - I would be very concerned about your attorney moving forward. This site helped my husband and I make the decision NOT to use an attorney knowing our case was simple with no issues in either of our backgrounds. Missing out on the things that we did made us upset as we dropped the ball. I cannot imagine how much more difficult it would have been for a third party handling our paperwork with advice of “wait for RFE”. Here’s hoping your journey isn’t as long as ours was.
  18. Awww I’m sorry it is a hassle for you after all this waiting you’ve done on your visa journey. Interestingly I also went today to have my SSN unrestricted and await it in the mail. All I needed to show was my GC. I hope it’s resolved soon for you!
  19. W O W! Great article. I cannot even add to it. Brilliant! Yes I agree with Struan who wrote it, you cannot trust him. Too much blood on his hands and his “henchmen” around him too. Scary stuff.
  20. I am quietly hoping for you too! If not for the NOID in our case for the I-130 we would have plain sailed until after mid-July! I totally get it!! Keep us posted🙂 Congratulations to you😊Wonderful to read your update! As much as I wanted a 10 year card I sure do like my swanky, shiny CGC😄
  21. 🌺 The wait is a struggle. I hope you get an approval soon. A 10 year would eliminate 2 more hurdles with USCIS and leave you with one, should you desire citizenship. I truly hear you about feeling abandoned. I heard from them once in 2022 once my EAD was approved. Here’s hoping your field office surprises you soon!
  22. Congratulations to you and your wife♥️ You’ve always been very helpful since I started coming here🌺
  23. You’re SO welcome! Good for you!!! I’ve noticed over on Reddit that when others have had an interaction with Emma, things happen! SO happy for you that it was the same🥰
