  1. Congratulations to you! Now a small wait for that GC😊Thrilled for you!!!
  2. After your previous update about USCIS' reopening the case, with your husband back in Oz, I was suspicious that this was not going to go well 🙁I have no advice to offer and only suggest that you do exactly what @Crazy Cat suggests. USCIS has done you such a disservice, trying to do this without an experienced immigration lawyer may hinder your case even more, if that can even be possible, considering what has already happened to you and your family. Hoping the best for you and your family!
  3. Thanks @Kai G. Llewellyn for your advice🙂 I was able to speak with an agent at CRA who informed me when I filed last year I should have included my emigration date. I mailed out a T1 adjustment for that reason. Like you stated, as a non-resident, I have no need to report or file my income to them. I was informed according to their records I was still a deemed resident.
  4. W O W😲 I wonder about that red pill for Christian Parenti…
  5. Excellent article. Very damning. One can never trust that agency again. I found this part very interesting: “The evidence on which the investigation was based was so lacking that when the agency, during a meeting at FBI headquarters in Washington in the fall of 2016, asked members of British Intelligence for some further assistance, the Brits refused. The FBI’s liaison with the British told Durham’s office that “the Brits finally had enough” and that “there was no [expletive] way in hell they were going to do it.” So, the British government recognized the complete lack of merit in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, but our own government did not”
  6. Very interesting article. Some things just never change. The scary part today is going to be the use of AI. They will use it to their advantage. Both GOP and Dems😵‍💫
  7. I. Can’t. Stop. Crying. Best acronym from said article HPA🤣😂🤣😂
  8. Loved the comment by the twitter account of Jeremiah102 that Bush should listen to some Thomas Sowell and educate herself😄
  9. W O W! Every time I come looking in here the poop gets deeper and deeper!!! Insanity much?
  10. Even after what has just recently transpired with the lies about Trump and Russia, Biden continues to utilize the FBI against his opponents? Alrighty then!
  11. All good. Found the answer in filing a T1 adjustment for 2021!
  12. Hello! A Canadian PR searching for help in this area. I did try looking, yet did not yield any results with my concerns. I filed taxes for 2021 last year informing CRA as a deemed non-resident. I’m super late in filing for 2022 and of course am now considered a non-resident. Do I just file a zero tax return as I didn’t reside a single day in 2022 in Canada? I do have secondary ties there as I have a bank account that I have active (to pay off my line of credit and credit card) as well as my SunLife account that holds my retirement and RRSP. I’m confused as to what to do and understand I’ll possibly be dinged with late filing penalty fees.
  13. The wait is brutal especially since you already gave them what they requested it makes no sense the lack of communication. Here’s hoping you’re not waiting too much longer now!
  14. Great to see this update from you and that your congressman’s representative reached out in your favor. I have no words of advice, only that soon, I hope, your husband will return to you and your baby🌺 Happy Mother’s Day♥️ Any update?
  15. Absolutely saw this coming🤣🤣🤣 Gavin’s like “Thanks for your vote! Next!” The sad part about all of this is most of these people will still vote Dem even though they told them they would give them reparations and never paid up😒 A State that made slavery illegal and never had slaves yet set up a committee to address reparations for descendants of slaves. What a mess! Most of these people should show the Dems by voting Independent or Republican. I guess we can expect reparation rejection riots now…
  16. This. Made. Me. 😂😄🤣 I’m sorry as a Brit who recently became a LPR I’ve been fascinated with these types of things. I cannot even recall the Spike Lee movie now where black couples don’t want to date dark-skinned black people, instead preferring fair-skinned black people and vice versa. Growing up in London I never quite understood this. Black to me is black. As for Egypt😁😁😁Why does it matter if she was dark-skinned or not? Fascinating for this dark-skinned woman😛 I see a trend coming soon where more alphabet soup and word salad for ethnicities increase, along with the rest we have today🥸🤨🤫🧐
  17. No. It comes up again on the I-485 form in part 4 on information about applicant’s parents.
  18. You will be fine! Looking forward to your good news🙂
  19. Yet this is the opening line of said article😄 A top Scottish ultra-marathon runner who was disqualified for using a car during a race has blamed an injury and jetlag for her decision to break the rules and then accept a trophy for third place. 😄😄😄😄 So she poses for photos with a wooden trophy and medal then afterwards comes to her senses? Allegedly getting into the car of a friend to inform the organizers that she is pulling out from the race. Why didn’t she do just that and instead continue running and making sure she didn’t “interfere with the runner ahead”?😄
  20. It states in parentheses, if any, so since your mailing address is your address, you have no need to fill in “in care of”. You can write N/A there and beneath that your street address, etc. HTH!
  21. Disregard since you have a mailing address. That is what I did.
  22. Great article! When I stumbled upon Thomas Sowell a few years ago, he opened my eyes to slavery around the world. The most brutal slave masters were the Muslims and Arabs. No one wanted to be captured by them. No one. Slavery, no matter where, is evil. Reminds me of Morgan Freeman when interviewed by Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes way back in 2005, where some state he insults Black history month by saying "I don't want a black history month. Black history is American history." He opined that the only way to end racism is to stop talking about it and noted that there is no “white” or “black” history.” I agree totally with Freeman. One thing I’m getting used to here, living in America, is the news always remarking on the ethnicity of a person and another, especially when relating to crime, award or status. Why is someone’s ethnicity such a great importance here? The first black Supreme Court female judge - even though she couldn’t define what a woman was as a woman herself because of course she’s not a biologist!
