  1. My husband just immigrated from Germany with a CR-1 visa June 27th. I thought when you pay the $220 immigration fee before you enter that would automatically get him his green card. I remember seeing that we would receive the card 120 days after payment. Can someone please tell me if we should wait the full 120 days (which is the end of September) or do I need to fill out for I-485 or another form? I want to make sure I am doing everything correctly but when I look it up online I get very confused. Is there another fee I need to pay? Thank you in advance.
  2. Oh, ok. I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me
  3. Why would the interview be transferred to Frankfurt? Frankfurt and Munich are both consulates.
  4. My husband got his interview date but our application also still says "at NVC." I wouldn't worry too much at what is says on the NVC website. I think their programing lags in comparison to real life processing.
  5. We are going through the Frankfurt consulate. Is there any way to figure out the wait time for our consulate? Did you hear that London is quick by word of mouth or is there a website that tells you which dates they are working on? I would cry if it takes us a year to get an interview.
  6. I received our NVC DQ 12-27-22. We are going through the Frankfurt consulate. I wanted to know if any one had any idea how long it would take for us to hear back with an interview date for that consulate? Can anyone tell me what exactly my husband will need to do ahead of time to make sure he goes to the interview totally prepared, like anything other than all the original documents we should bring?
  7. I am so happy every one got DQ'd (or heard back with an RFE ) before the new year! Does anyone know how long it takes to get the interview letter or does that really depend on your embassy/consulate you are working with?
  8. Thanks! I was very pleasantly surprised to see we got DQ'd today. I had been looking on their website and it's still not updated. But maybe they will get to it later today or tomorrow.
  9. We just received our DQ email 30 minutes ago!!
  10. Yay!! We are next. I am hoping to hear back next week, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is delayed another week because of the holidays. Happy holidays and I am wishing everyone gets their DQ soon.
