Extension of 48 months

I know right 🤣 I have come this far with no lawyer after I filed K1 and we got RFE. We panicked and went to a lawyer. He requested for $16,000. $8,000 each for my husband and step child. But lawyer, you didn't start the process! Why such high amount 🙄 I fastened my seat belt and did my research. We are doing fine without any legal representation. -

Extension of 48 months

So do they eventually send out the 10 years green card during the 48 months or everyone files for citizenship when it's time? I just gave my husband the feedback 🤣 He said maybe he is clueless about the recent update after telling my husband that he has seen such occurrence before. But lawyer, USCIS doesn't disclose if you are denied or extended bases on not changing your last name or not having a baby together 🙄 -

Exactly my thought cos I have read everywhere that people are getting 48 months extensions. He is not even our lawyer cos we have been doing DIY from the get-go. My husband consulted him when we got the extension letter. With the little knowledge I have acquired on VJ, I think I might be applying to law school and kick some lawyers to the curb🤣 Thank you. 😊 -
Good morning VJ family 😊 Please I need clarification on what occurred after we filled for removal of conditions. We received a letter of 48 months extension. At first, I thought it is the new thing about them to buy time before they can send the PR for 10 years but a lawyer said we were sent the letter cos we don't have a child together or probably cos I didn't change my last name to my husband's. 🙄 Changing one's last name doesn't indicate true love to me, talking from past experience plus do they understand that some women have difficulty getting pregnant even when they want to? Plus my last birth was 17 years ago. Yes I am open to the option of having a set of twins for my husband, medically I can't cos I had IUD in for donkey of years and when I took it out almost 4 years ago, my period hasn't returned. I have been prescribed medication twice for 10 days but it still hasn't returned. So only God can come through. Are there people in the house who got 48 months as well? Thanks everyone.

Thank you -
Happy New Year my visajourney family! i hope you all are doing well and the year is off to an awesome start for you 🤗 Please i need tour help in clarifying Part 8 section which states "Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center" My husband is the beneficiary and the one having to do removal. My name was listed on Part 4. And this Part 8 requires the Spouse or Individual listed in Part 4. I put my name under this Part 8 but I am not showing up at the center for fingerprints as the lines indicate after the I,.......... Please help me understand whose name goes there, mine or his? Cos I wasn't aware US citizens still have to do fingerprints along with their beneficiaries. Thanks so much.

What other good evidences do they accept? We have couple of vehicles with both names. We don't have mortgage yet but we have our joint apartment lease. we are starting a business together this year within the next couple of months. -
K3 Conditional Resident Permit
Model4Life replied to Model4Life's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Sorry she came on K2. K3 was a typo -
In my case, filing jointly will make my refund $3,000 less but separately was higher but since he is still conditional resident, have no choice than to file jointly

Sorry for the late response. We went to court and we were granted full custody. I didn't fill adoption papers or anything related. -

Sorry I meant K2. Typographical error on my side. I filed a K1 and K2 for both of them. They both have conditional pr granted to them this year. She just got hers last month. He got his in February. -

No. We just filed full custody with the court and was granted. I checked the adoption route prior to that but the legal fees were too much... just as the filing of their petitions which I solely eventually did myself. -

Sorry I meant K2. I wasn't aware I typed K3. -
Please experts, I have a quick question, does a k3 child who have the 2 year residency permit need to file for removal or the parent when he becomes a citizen a year after can file for her citizenship? Thanks.
