  1. Ok thanks! I appreciate it! Ok thanks!
  2. Does my wife have to change her passport name to her married name after our petition is approved and sent to NVC? Pls advise!
  3. Ok thanks for the assistance! Ok thanks for the assistance!
  4. Hi, I just had a simple question about the I-130 on the question that asks if we ever lived together? Do I put the dates that I came to visit my wife in the Philippines from the very first time we met in person? Pls let me know, thanks! Jack
  5. Thanks! Where are you seeing the uscis immigrant fee amount at? Pls let me know?
  6. Thanks for that information! However, when I tried to click on the link to see the info your pulling up but it's not showing up for the uscis immigrant fee. Can you pls tell me where you are getting this info from?
  7. If I filed an I-130 for my spouse and stepdaughter, does my spouse have to pay an immigrant fee before traveling to the USA? I thought that once the I-130 is approved it's sent to the NVC then once you complete all the processes with nvc and you complete your interview that they can come to the USA? How much is the immigrant fee? I thought that was all included when you pay the ds 260 fees. Can someone pls clarify this for me bcs I'm a little confused? Also, I have a daughter who was born in the Philippines and we did all the paperwork for her to be a US Citizen so I was told by USCIS before that I don't have to file anything extra for her bcs she's already a us citizen! However, I still have to add her name to the petition even though she's a US citizen but I don't have to file an additional application for her as she's already a citizen of the US.
  8. Ok thanks for the advice! I really appreciate it! Also, where would I submit photos of my wife and family together online on the form i-130 bcs it doesn't even ask me to upload photos of us together with our family? Pls clarify!
  9. How come the I-130 online doesn't have an option to label my stepdaughter as stepdaughter or me as the stepfather? It just give me the option of child or parent! I know I can petition her but I'm just trying to figure out why USCIS doesn't correct that part of the petition when it ask for the relationship to me or my relationship to her.
  10. Why do you say it's the last thing you want for it to be approved? Is it bcs you have to pay more after it's approved to get the adjustment status whereas if the I-130 is approved there's no need for adjustment of status and my wife can work right away, right?
  11. Yes, i understand that but the child we have together is already a US CITIZEN so I don't need to file a form I--130 for her but for my stepdaughter who's 17 years old I have to file a separate I-130.
  12. What's an urban myth? I don't understand!
  13. Hi, my wife and I got married last year on March 26, 2024! I'm getting ready to file the spousal petition (I-130) online! Is it a pretty fast process if I file it online versus a paper application? What type of evidence do we need to provide? I'm going to also file the I-129F for the k3 and k4 visa for them just in case the I-130 is taking longer than expected bcs it doesn't cost anything extra to file as long as I file it with the spousal petition. That way they can come over sooner. But the one question i have is if the I130 petition is approved first before the I-129F petition will USCIS automatically cancel the I-129F petition, bcs that's what some people are saying. Also, is it easier to get approved for the I-130 versus the fiancé visa bcs before we waited more than 3 years for them to make a decision. Pls advise, thanks!
  14. I would like some feedback, bcs my I-129F petition was denied and my fiancé wants to do the CR1 visa now! My question is will it be easier for us to get approved for our CR1 petition than the I-129F petition we got denied for? Not only did they deny it, but it took them more than 3 years and 4 months to deny it. My fiancé had our first baby together back in November of 2022, and we want to be together as a family bcs being apart sucks. Any advice pls feel free to let me know.
  15. I'm a U.S. Citizen and the petitioner for a I-129F and I just completed my biometrics appointment here at the Las Vegas field office so the Vermont Service Center can continue processing our petition. What is the next step in our petition? I've been told by USCIS Support that once the biometrics is completed the next step is a decision on the case, but I'm just curious if that's right! I'm praying and hoping that a decision is the next step as we've been waiting for more than 2 years for any progress on our petition. Has anyone else ever been requested to do a biometrics as the petitioner, if so pls let me know what happened after biometrics appointment. I know in the past with my last two ex-wives anytime they had to do biometrics that a decision was made with in a couple weeks of completing the biometrics.
