My wife thought she put the passport photo inside the i485, i864, i765 packet, however we found today what she FORGOT and left out on the table. I have already sent the application yesterday via USPS and her K1 visa is valid until the end of October. What kind of repercussions should I expect for not including the passport photos and what steps can we take to correct this mistake? I was thinking of sending the photos to the same address and hope it ends up in the same pile as my i-485 envelope? I'm expecting a request for evidence, but how long until they send that? It will delay the application process, how by how much? Thanks

That's good to hear, I have my tax transcripts printed and ready to go. I don't want to print out my tax returns, as it's like 35 pages per tax year.

I'm currently filing the i-864 and was wondering if I need both the tax returns or are the tax transcripts enough? I'm also using a co-sponsor, is using only their tax transcript sufficient? Thank you,

My fiance and I recently traveled around Asia arrived to the US just over a week ago under a K-1 Visa. We're schedule to get married soon. We found out that she's pregnant the day after arriving. We are in California, and I'm halfway through nursing school, an I'll be resuming in a few weeks, thus I'm not working at the moment to get work covered health insurance. I've narrowed it down to two options; go back to my old job at Kaiser Permanente and work part-time for the employee based health insurance, but that will risk my already busy nursing school and clinical rotation schedule. Secondly, I would prefer to apply for Medi-cal for my fiancé. She doesn't have a SSN yet, it's being mailed in 2 weeks. Would anybody contest or see any issues with my fiancé having a K-1 visa and getting Medi-cal? Would it affect her Green Card application status? If anybody have advice or opinions on this, please feel free to input. Thanks

Are you saying that the Part 4 of the form doesn't need to be filled out in my example?

I recently filled out the i-134 as my fiancé will have her K1 interview Next month. As I was on video call with her I showed her the form so we can cross check and she mentioned Page 8, Part #4. I'm pretty sure I leave this blank as it states that portion is if she fills it out on her own behalf. She further mentions to me that people who have recently passed their K1 interview completed part 4 of the i-134. I've highlighted on the screenshot here, any thoughts? ps: I'm thinking that if I complete part 4, I'll have to change the checkmark on page 1 that states "filing on own behalf" which is not right for our K1.

My fiancé's interview appointment is a April 21 and I will be gathering and sending my W-2 form, 1040, and monthly bank summaries; what other documents would I need? How far back of bank summaries should I include? (how many months?) How many years of tax returns should I include? I plan to include both my 2022 and 2021, is that sufficient? Since my fiancé's interview is past the April 15 tax date; will the consulate require the 2022 tax returns, or will 2021 tax returns be ok? I have my 2022 tax returns, but my brother who is is my joint sponsor will file for tax extension and will file taxes in June instead of April, can we use my brother's 2021 tax returns? I wasn't able to find much about the i-134 here on VJ, except an I-134 example PDF that was from 2018, any tips or links would be helpful. Thanks in advance

My fiancé's interview is scheduled for the end of April in Ho Chi Minh and I will fly there to be present with her during the interview. Even though it's not mandatory for me to be there, it helps. My fiancé and I were video calling and rumors she heard regarding the interview is that the U.S. Consulate officer conducting the case interview has already made a decision at this point in time, way prior to us being present for the interview. It's said that, if the interview officer is carrying a green piece of paper during the meeting, he/she will automatically request a second interview at the end of the 1st interview. Is there is credibility or truth to this theory? If so, it's a bit lousy in my opinion, knowing the consulate officer has already made a decision to serve a green paper to reschedule for a second interview. I'm flying to HCM to stay for a few days to be with my fiancé and to be present for the interview with her, if it's only to be there to served a second interview, I will have return and fly back at a later time for a second interview. It's a hassle. Anybody have any thought about this idea? And how long is the U.S. Consulate interview? I've mostly heard 15-20 minutes. But my Fiancé mentioned that the interview only takes about 2 (minutes), which I find a bit hard to believe. 2 minutes being that, the officer will ask a few questions and take the prepared photocopies of the Affidavit of support, relationship photos, generated timeline, etc. In and out. Is this accurate?
