  1. Yes, a Judge ruled to restart FRP, but I can wait. I am not really in a hurry to do AOS as I'm doing okay here so far. It's going to be a year in August, but it seems longer to me. I started with some stock investments during the Biden administration that performed well while I was looking for a job. After that, I got a job just a few blocks away from my parents so I can cook for them before I go to work. I was a general manager until two weeks ago when I wanted to leave due to my MBA in Finance and I am preparing for my second CFA exam, both of which are keeping me busy. I wrote my resignation letter two weeks ago, but the owner didn't want me to leave. We came to an agreement to reduce my hours and move me from a management role to a technical position in the company. He mentioned that since I was hired, the company has grown to an exponential level in profit, and they don't think it's a good idea to let me go. By the way my date is March 25 2017
  2. I am in the US with a FRP to be honest if you are in the US with a FRP if that your case it is good to switch to F1 and start an ajusment of status while you waiting for your GC but in my case I have to wait my petitioner is preparing the documents and it might take longer to be a f1 but I dont might I am working here and staying with my family while I am waiting for table B to move and start my ajusment of status.
  3. Hi, I wanted to ask: I’m currently on a Family Reunification Parole under the F2B category (unmarried adult children of green card holders) with a Priority Date (PD) of February 23, 2017. If my petitioner (my parent) becomes a U.S. citizen, would it be advisable to switch to the F1 category (unmarried adult children of U.S. citizens) and begin the Adjustment of Status (AOS) process? Thank you for the comments,
  4. Any updates from NVC on your case ?

Hi - you did the right thing - however, this market is going to get better in few months. Meanwhile, no movement in "Visa Bulletin Priority dates" - still stuck in mud, spinning their wheels - nothing no one can do - but wait & that is all

      Hi,

Yes, we need to wait until the date becomes current. I hope you're doing well, and I wish you the best of luck!

P.S. If you hear any news about the IT market, please let me know. If the market improves, California is likely to be the first place where we'd notice changes.

      Thanks,
      David

I think - we have to wait until election & the new year hopefully we will have some traction in stalled IT job requisitions. At this point it's all quite.

      Hope for the best.

  5. @Boiler@TBoneTX I received my advanced travel authorization today. Good luck!
  6. To give an update on my case I was invited in November 2023 and completed all the necessary documentation, including medicals. I submitted everything to USCIS but have been waiting for my advance travel authorization since Feb 24th. It has been over three weeks now. Is anyone else experiencing a similar situation, @TBoneTX @Boiler? Thanks! PS: I am still on this journey!
  7. I got my medical interview on Friday, and tomorrow I will be submitting my document and hopefully i will be getting my travel document within the next few days or weeks!!!
  8. To provide an update, last Friday I successfully managed to create a profile on USCIS and began the process of completing the required medicals and attestations. As of now, I have scheduled an appointment to undergo my medical examination next week, so I believe I am nearly finished.
  9. Thank you, Boiler, for your help and for attempting to gather information in this regard. To provide you guys with an update, my case for the I134a family reunification program was confirmed on January 18, 2024. I'm unsure about the next steps, so I'll need to explore forums to find out what's needed. By the way, I did not receive an email confirmation, so I may have to get in touch with USCIS. I received a notification on my app indicating a new status on my case.
  10. I received an invitation on November 20th for a family reunification program from Ecuador, and I think I was among the first to receive it. On Monday, December 4th, I successfully submitted my I-134A form along with my co-sponsor information. Now, I'm waiting for a response from USCIS. I hope there's someone else in a similar situation who can share their timeline. I am F2B March 2017
  11. Hello, I am from Ecuador, and I received an invitation letter for parole for family reunification from NVC. My PD is March 2017. It says that I have to fill out an I134A form
  12. I am a bit skeptical about this family reunification program. They might not allocate enough invitations, or it might take longer to get one. If this becomes a reality, then I will be able to qualify for one due to the fact that I am from Ecuador within the F2B category, with PD March 2017. I was approved in October 2020, and I am not currently in the U.S., but I am a dual citizen. However, since it's a reunification program, being a dual citizen might not be an issue.
  13. I remember they were saying the same thing last month so I hope it does not retrogress.
  14. I am optimistic and I believe that we will see some movement by October and if the trends with DR are still the same they will go into a separate PD like Mexico at the moment. They are clearing some of the backlog and it will restart again in October there is no way it will stay like this any longer.
