Just checked our status today and we are "Issued".  After a month and a half in Refused status after our interview at the beginning of June it went to Administrative Review for about a day and then today it changed to Issued.  Whew... what an exhausting two year journey and there have been many times where we almost lost hope.  But the day we have been working toward finally arrived and I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulder.

Best of luck and good fortune to all of you still waiting.

Embassy really stepped it up in june with 42 K1 approvals (55% of pre pandemic levels that were already low) and managing to not take 2 months to release the info to us unlike may.

Our IR-1 case was DQ on 11/18/20 and we just last week received an interview date in Bogotá for late June. This kind of caught us by surprise since we’ve been waiting so long and we really didn’t expect anything to happen until the fall. Now we are scrambling to get flights and final paperwork together. My beneficiary is from Venezuela so we’ll have to plan out housing too! It’s crunch but we are excited this is finally moving!

For immigrant visas this is not true. On the 14th of May tons of people got interview letters for appointments in june. From DQ May 2020 to DQ September. That being said there are still ppl with DQs july, august, september 2020 that jave reported they have not gotten a letter yet. They all expect to get it on the next wave which should be the 15 of June

DQ march 2020 and april appear to be cleared. The embassy has been open and moving since March 1st 2021. Ppl who have had their appointments have reported that the embassy is full of ppl now and all the work station windows are open.

The agent was really nice. She didn’t ask me anything. I just stood next to Alejandro and held his hand while he spoke with her. I came super prepared and she didn’t ask for anything extra! I was glad to have all the extra stuff, just in case and we can carry some of it over to our adjustment of status.

We just received an email today saying his visa is ready, they only needed to confirm the pickup location. We already have a flight booked for Sunday 🥰

I’ve been DQ’d since March 2020 and we had a scheduled appointment on April 6, 2020 which was canceled.  We haven’t heard jack.  And I know another couple who had a scheduled appointment on April 6, 2020 and they haven’t heard anything either.  Are the people who became DQ’d in April/May 2020, getting interview dates at the embassy in Bogota, or are they getting interviews in an embassy in a different country?  We will have serious questions for consulate officials if these people are getting interviews at the embassy in Bogota and were DQ’d in April/May 2020.  If that’s the case then the embassy is outright lying when they say that those with canceled appointments are getting the priority.  And they are also lying when they say that people will get interviews based on their DQ date.  They are obviously not scheduling interviews in any semblance of order.  As you can tell frustration is boiling over!

I hope things start going pretty soon, the NOA2 for me was 5/2020, so I’m anxious knowing we’re right around the the corner. The question is how long it will take to get around the corner.

Anyways, these links are for the numbers issuances of for non-immigrant visas (K1s) but January is the last month reported.

Resumption of Limited, Routine Immigrant Visa Processing
Beginning March 1, 2021, we have increased the range of immigrant visa services available and resumed limited, routine immigrant visa interviews.  Among immigrant visa applications, we will prioritize emergency cases and then Immediate Relative family members of U.S. citizens including intercountry adoptions, fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens, and certain Special Immigrant Visa applications.
As we increase the range of our immigrant services available, we’ll be processing cases in the order that the National Visa Center determined the case to be “documentarily qualified.”  When a case becomes documentarily qualified, the National Visa Center sends an email to notify you that it is complete and pending scheduling at the Embassy, so please review your past emails from the National Visa Center to determine what date your case became documentarily qualified. You may also check your CEAC account to find this date.

    Hello all,

I was able to find a group on Facebook for K1 filers in Colombia (the group is "Visa K1 Colombia y Ajuste de estatus"), thanks to another post here on VJ. There are many posts in the group which mirror what has already been said - that the embassy is still working through their current cancelled appointments for January-April 2020 and there are quite a few people who have had their interview or have had it scheduled. There was at least one person who reported having their interview scheduled who was NOA2 in February 2020.

Just wanted to post this here hoping it will bring hope to you all. As we all know, the embassy is still not receiving petitions from the NVC. When they will begin to accept those is completely unknown, but I continue to hope that it will be soon. The NVC confirmed with me that my petition will be sent with the rest which were approved March 2020, so I hope we will be towards the front of the line.

So far the FB group has been pretty active, so I hope it will be a good source to find out who is getting interviews.

Yes - it sounds like they've spread out all of the canceled March 2020 appointments that were originally scheduled but canceled due to Covid-19 - these are not expedites.  Just gathering information from the group text, there is 10 interviews tomorrow, 2 on the 19th, 1 on the 21st and 1 on the 28th.  These are just the ones that are aware in this group text of about 20 people.

This is very good news, and sounds like Bogota is slowly heading in the right direction.

It sounds like Bogota has begun to schedule canceled March appointments.

I'm in a WhatsApp group text with a lot of people waiting, and they claim Bogota just sent out the rescheduling emails for those appointments today.
