  1. What about uploading documents? I already uploaded the documents in the top picture. Do you think I need to upload the bottom picture too? (Because it's a virtual interview / can't physically bring them)
  2. Makes sense. I'll ask them. Anyway, there's this list. One for: What to submit online. Another for: What to bring to the interview. The website only asked me to submit my Green Card (PDF) and nothing else. But do you think I need to scan the items from the second (bottom picture, To-Bring) list and upload them too? Or is that unnecessary?
  3. There was a "Verify my account / identity" on the USCIS website. I had to answer some questions regarding my last cass (I-130) and put in my passport and GC details. After verification, USCIS added my old case (from petitioner) to my new account. + When I was doing the N400 online, it automatically added (this can't be manually changed too) my OAN to my N400. tldr: Verified my account and got my OAN back.
  4. The explanation for why the paper asks for more makes sense now. And as for filing both, I know that people would, under normal circumstances, only need to file 1. But we were instructed to fill out the online form and bring a physical copy. Whether both are going to be filed --- I don't know. (We were not given any explanation.) It could be that the physical copy is only a backup in case someone forgets to do theirs online. Note: someone is going to take the physical copy from us in Boot Camp. And that someone is also the same person who will be filing the document for us.
  5. Nah, man, you don't understand. I've went outside so many times now. I keep reprinting pages because of spelling mistakes, hard-to-read hand writing and answering some fields wrong. This isn't the first time, second time or even third time I have to reprint.
  6. I already put down 3 addresses on my paper N-400 but I plan to only put 1 online. I could go out and print off this page of the N-400 to redo it again. But that'll cost money and time. If possible, do you think the paper (with 3 addresses) would suffice? Even if I only put 1 online? Or do I have to make them exactly the same? 1 Address on Paper. 1 Adress Online.
  7. Yes. The instruction has stated it multiple times (to emphasize) to bring a physical copy (answered by pen) and to fill out (but not upload) the same form online.
  8. Is the opposite true? Giving no more than the required no. of add? (Instead of supplementing more from the paper version.) Like, put 1 online but keep 3 adds on paper?
  9. Reason why I'm on the fence about this is: Because the online version specifically states to only put down 1 address if applying on the basis of being in the military. If I put down more than 1, would the system / whoever's reviewing the case, misinterpret my basis for applying? I.e.: they'll think I'm not applying on the basis of being in the Marines because I ended up putting down more than 1 address when they specifically stated to only put 1. Now, of course, the system / whoever's reviewing this is very likely to not make that simple mistake of misinterpretation --- but you know how it is: People get anxious about little, trivial stuffs when submitting forms like this; so I'm kinda overthinking things right now.
  10. I'm doing both. And as for why . . . I have no idea. The instruction paper I received from the Marine Corps says to: a. Bring a physical copy of the N-400 to Boot Camp. b. Fill out (but not submit until arrival at Boot Camp) the N-400 online.
  11. https://ibb.co/Xkj7zS9 The paper version asked for addresses from 5 years ago. So I listed some (3). The online version (for military) is only asking for one (current). Question: - Do I need to make it so that both are the same? E.g. only 1 address for both versions. (Need to file both paper and online by the way.) Will the USCIS care about the 3 vs. 1 difference between the 2 versions?
  12. I'll be submitting this on the day I go to Boot Camp. (Nov. 4) At the time of submission, wouldn't today's date be wrong? (Oct. 31.) Not sure if the USCIS cares too much about little stuffs like this.
  13. Do you know how I can set the "To (MM/DD/YY)" to PRESENT?
  14. Yes, but we become Active Duty on the day we arrive at Boot Camp (November 4). The N-400 does not get filed until Boot Camp. The Marines at the Depot (Boot Camp) will collect our files and mail it. So my plan is to write: - Date To: last day of being unemployed / day before Boot Camp starts (turns into an Active Duty member).
  15. How do I let them know that I am Unemployed as of now? - Do I write "N/A" fot Employer or School Name? - "N/A" for Street Number and Name? "Unemployed" for Your Occupation? + Fill out Date From and Date To? === 1. I was going to write my home address but my home address isn't a workplace or school. 2. Do I only need to fill out: - Your Occupation. - Date From + Date To. Parts and leave the rest empty?
