  5. FOWL CRIME: Illinois School Food Employee Gets NINE YEARS for Stealing $1.5 Million in Chicken Wings We wonder exactly how much fraud happened during COVID, when schools were closed and people were working remotely and the normal oversights and guardrails were lessened (if not outright gone). Tim Walz oversaw hundreds of millions in COVID fraud in Minnesota. It wasn't just Minnesota, however, a food service worker at an Illinois school district conned taxpayers out of $1.5 million by stealing chicken wings during the pandemic. 6. It's Been One Month Since Someone Tried to Assassinate the Former President, and We're Hearing Crickets [...] You could tell the moment after it happened that this incident would not be treated like any other assassination attempt. The attempts on Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford held the national attention for years. Nobody's over John F. Kennedy's assassination. Robert Kennedy Sr.'s assassin has won his freedom from a parole board, though he still sits in a California prison. We all saw what happened on that Memphis balcony when a racist Democrat took a gun and shot Martin Luther King, Jr. Americans don't take kindly to people trying to permanently take out their leaders. And we didn't like it when some of the same people now investigating this assassination attempt previously tried to take him out with their Russia investigations, lies about peeing hookers, bank accounts, trips to Prague, and the free-for-all spending from Democrat allies paying for anyone to lie to take him out in court. So it was that hours after the attempt on Trump's life, the FBI and Secret Service brass, only a short helicopter or plane ride away, couldn't be bothered to show up for a news conference to tell America what happened and what we knew so far. I wrote about it in the piece called "Don't Worry if You Missed FBI Presser on Trump Assassination Attempt. You Didn't Miss a Thing." Here's an excerpt: [...] https://pjmedia.com/victoria-taft/2024/08/13/its-been-one-month-since-someone-tried-to-assassinate-the-former-president-wheres-the-fbi-presser-n4931608
  7. Tim Walz Is Just Like You and Me — If You and I Have Friends Who Love Hamas The marketing campaign is in high gear. Tim Walz should be our vice president, our self-appointed moral superiors inform us because he is a guy just like you and me and the fellow grilling hamburgers next door. Not Chuck Schumer photo-op raw meat, either. Walz, the "news" media insists, is the real deal, an Ordinary Joe, even more ordinary than Old Joe Biden. A high school teacher! A football coach! A Marxist authoritarian! Oh, scratch that last one; they won’t be admitting that one until later. Nor is the establishment media talking about his friendships with Muslims who love Hamas. The Washington Examiner reported Friday that Walz, "on at least five occasions as governor of Minnesota, hosted a Muslim cleric who celebrated Hamas's Oct. 7 attack last year on Israel and promoted a film popular among Neo-Nazis that glorifies Adolf Hitler." The imam whom the Examiner had in mind was [...] https://pjmedia.com/robert-spencer/2024/08/13/tim-walz-is-just-like-you-and-me-if-you-and-i-have-friends-who-love-hamas-n4931603
  8. Fascinating and ominous insights into the assassination attempt and much more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dissension, 'Toxicity' Plagued Trump's Secret Service Detail Before Assassination Attempt Rancor, recriminations, and serious formal misconduct complaints have plagued all levels of the Secret Service detail assigned to protect former President Donald Trump over the last year, distracting the team from its core mission of securing Trump from physical harm and preventing an assassination. Trump's regular detail team, a force of 60 employees – special agents and support staff – has been beset by internal division, long workdays and weeks, and constant stress. Last year, the team lost one of its members to suicide. Among the allegations are accusations of improper sexual relationships or fraternization within the team, debilitating mental health issues, non-merit-based promotions, conflict of interest issues, unfair retaliation and the creation of inappropriate memes and social media posts. 9. Looks like the White House doc is as corrupt as Bidementia and his family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Secrecy of the President's Family 'Doc' Raises the Question: Are We Getting the Full Story on Biden's Cognitive Health? For the next five months, Dr. Kevin C. O'Connor will be one of the most powerful people in the world. The White House physician is the chief medical arbiter of Joe Biden's fitness to continue as commander in chief in a war-torn world until the end of his term in January. Even as the public has long expressed concern about the 81-year-old president's mental capacities and Democratic Party leaders pressured Biden to drop his bid for a second term, O'Connor has repeatedly given his boss a clean bill of health. As Republicans demand that the president be removed from office under the 25th amendment -- and warn that adversaries such as China or Iran could use the lengthy lame-duck period to test Biden -- O'Connor's opinion looms as perhaps their biggest obstacle. 15. Pow! ~~~~ Where Is the Defense of Tim Walz From Those Who Served With Him? You can tell when someone really nails a politician by the way no one tries to defend them. Most consultants will tell you that you shouldn't let an attack go unanswered, but those are generally false attacks. When someone really rhetorically punches a candidate in the nose, the guilty slink away and hope the issue fades. If that candidate is attacked unfairly, the airwaves are flooded with friends and colleagues, provided by the campaign, to defend them. That no such defense of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has been forthcoming on his stolen valor allegations. Think about it, have you seen any of the soldiers who served with or under Walz, who I affectionately call "Fraudie Murphy," during his time in the National Guard, especially the end of his career when he abandoned his troops and took a demotion to avoid deploying to Iraq, come to his defense? I have not. I have seen plenty of people who served with him supporting the allegations – he must not have been a very popular leader – but nothing in the other direction. That's not a coincidence. 16. This story about Ozempic medalists is quite interesting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Surprising Perks That Some Olympic Medalists Receive [...] The Wall Street Journal chronicled some of the bonuses that medalists get throughout the world. 17. LOL! Not Even KJP Can Name Any of Kamala's Policy Achievements What exactly has Kamala Harris accomplished while in office? As we've reported in the past, her supporters can't name anything. But what's even more telling than that is that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who has all the resources of the White House propaganda machine, couldn't name a "specific policy achievement" during Vice President Harris' time in office. "Given that they've worked so closely together in that time, what does the president see as the vice president's biggest achievement during their time in office together?" a reporter asked. 18. Hee heeeeeee! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trump on X Taps Into a Voting Bloc That Legacy Media Doesn't Even Know Exists [...] Axios reporter Sara Fischer appeared on CNN to complain about former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump having an unfettered microphone with Elon Musk on X. The Monday night conversation hails Trump's return to the X (formerly Twitter) platform where he was unceremoniously booted almost four years before, and it has the entire legacy media complex shook.
