She has the video of when you shoved her. ---- If you must report her, get an InfoPass appointment with USCIS, and ask to speak with the FDNS officer. Hand that officer all your objective evidence of your wife's illegalities. (They cannot accept recorded media.) Keep vitriol out of it. Keep foremost in your mind that you will NEVER hear of any result or outcome. File it, and forget it. If you insist on wanting to file a report, this is the way that things have to be.

VAWA, Part 26
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Effects of Major Family Changes on Immigration Benefits
It is Wednesday -- time for our (again highly effective!) Semiofficial Semiweekly VAWA-Thread Joke: ============================== SIGNS SEEN OUTSIDE VETERINARY CLINICS Someone made a joke about my three-legged cat. Major faux paw! My alarm doesn't have a snooze-button. It has paws. If a tree falls in a forest and no one's there to see it, a chihuahua 500 miles away will bark at it. Free belly-rubs with exam! (Sorry; pets only.) I used a spot-remover on my dog... he disappeared. Against animal testing. They get nervous and get all the answers wrong. Our dog swallowed a bag of Scrabble tiles. The vet is checking him out. No word yet. -
Has anyone else applied for the Uniting for Ukraine program?
TBoneTX replied to jjp85's topic in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus
Others here have more knowledge than I do, and I defer to them. My impression is that there's nothing to lose unless you think it'll confuse them and hose things further. I still think that your Congressman's office is the best resource right now. -
Brainstorming Ideas on how to proceed
TBoneTX replied to tennisFL's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Despite patient and repeated responses from knowledgeable members, we're into our 5th page of fishing for ways around The Way Things Have To Be. This continued posting behavior treads on this provision of the site's Terms of Service: "Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method." Accordingly, this thread is locked, and the topic is not to be restarted or carried into other threads. The OP is advised to become an "A" student of every aspect of the LEGAL-immigration process. The “Energy Transition” Delusion: A Reality Reset
TBoneTX replied to Dashinka's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
I saw a Prius just ahead of me on the freeway today. I had this vivid mind-movie that I was in a huge bulldozer, about to crush it. -

Using "Husband/Wife" in text messages
TBoneTX replied to amh123's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
The short answer, to summarize most posts here, is: 1. Referring to a fiancé/fiancée as "husband/wife" can kill your I-129F petition at the USCIS stage or at the K-1 visa interview at the consulate. 2. You might get away with it, or you might not. 3. Do not -- do not EVER -- underestimate the crucial consular phase, in Bogota or anywhere. Bluntly put, you're living on the razor's edge, and if the petition is returned or the visa is refused, you must marry, file the I-130, and start over. -
Brainstorming Ideas on how to proceed

The processing times are what they are. There are no shortcuts. Yes, it's possible that she can enter the U.S. during processing; see the "Yes, You Can Visit" pinned threads. -------- Thread is moved from the K-1 Process forum to the "What Visa Do I Need" forum. -
Brainstorming Ideas on how to proceed
TBoneTX replied to tennisFL's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
See the comparison, as compiled by our fine member Crazy Cat: K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 6-8 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 6-8 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire CR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. -
Your #1 job, then, is to read the Guides (link atop any VJ page), and to become an "A" student of the entire immigration process. It's generally recommended to include the relevant portions of the T&C that clarify whether the outfit is or isn't a marriage broker. This answer is found in the Guides and in many relevant posts in the forums.

Many threads in these forums talk about the positives and negatives of using a lawyer. If your case is straightforward, you can probably handle things yourself; if there are red flags, or you lack time or wherewithal to complete the papers yourself, consider a visa-assistance firm. One, a VJ partner, is Platinum Immigration Services: https://www.visajourney.com/partners/platinum-immigration-services/ Platinum has a stellar record of responsiveness and performance. I suggest that you contact them. Of note, I have no conflict of interest in making this recommendation.

This short older thread (now closed to comment) contains some valuable thoughts about consulates and about co-sponsors: We can get so wrapped up in worrying about the I-129F petition itself -- how to package it attractively, how long it's taking to process it, etc. -- that we forget crucial elements during and immediately after that phase. The linked thread rightly suggests that each of us become an "A" student of the entire immigration process. I think that it's worthwhile reading and that you'll find it to be of high value. Feel free to comment here on what insights you've gained from reading that thread.

Daily update on Biden tanking america
TBoneTX replied to Nature Boy 2.0's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Good luck. Politicians fold up a $10 bill so tightly that Alexander Hamilton gets ingrown whiskers. -
Thanks. It was not fun, and I remain angry at the mismanaged consulate to this day. The then-head of the Immigrant Visa Unit is thankfully retired from consular work and is now writing white papers for the Center for Immigration Studies or some such. While we're on the topic of wait-times and not giving up, this thread may help new I-129F/K-1 folks see the story of one journey and lessons learned: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/410945-k-1-journey-completed/
