Look at the quote from Kommie in here! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Did Kamala Just Implode Her Campaign With Another Disastrous Interview? After reading the tea leaves, the Harris-Walz campaign discovered that it was a problem that Kamala wasn't doing interviews, and so they basically decided to put her out there and hope for the best. Well, it's not going well, and I can't help but wonder if this is why Trump's been seeing momentum in recent polling. Frankly, I expect more movement in Trump's direction after her latest interview on Wednesday with Stephanie Ruhle of MSNBC. Seriously, this interview showed us (again) why Kamala was not the candidate that Democrats genuinely wanted to run after Joe Biden dropped out. This is a really nice story -- worth reading -- by the Pennsylvania chick who's very much on the ground there. And do we think that Kommie Harris would have a roundtable inside a barn? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In Pennsylvania tour, Trump hits all the right places and messages [...] The visit to Kittanning was the second of three stops the former president made during his visit to Western Pennsylvania on Monday. He traversed over 100 miles throughout Allegheny, Armstrong, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties. Meandering through mostly back roads, all along the way, Trump's motorcade was greeted by thousands of people gathering in front of their small towns, suburban bedroom enclaves, or standing in front of their farms with their tractors or cows, waving Terrible Towels, makeshift Trump signs, or official Trump-Vance flags. And even along the jersey barriers of the halted traffic on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, people stood on top of their cars or in front of them to wave. The former president began the morning in the tiny town of Smithton on a farm surrounded by cornfields and rolling hills for a policy roundtable in a barn with local farmers. Daily Update on Biden Tanking America (Part 2)
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
Ooo! ~~~~ Joe Biden's disastrous legacy of crime at home and war abroad is on full display in his final UN speech In 1980, the Boston Globe put a place-holding headline on an editorial about a speech by President Jimmy Carter. "Mush from the wimp," the headline read — and it appeared in more than 150,000 copies of the paper before editors caught their error and removed it. I thought about that headline as I watched Joe Biden's UN speech Tuesday. The similarities go far beyond another mushy speech from another wimpy president. With A Compliant Driveby Media, Anything Goes In Modern America. Anything. In May 1987, the Miami Herald published a story suggesting that Gary Hart, an initial frontrunner in the Democratic primary, was involved in an extramarital affair. The situation escalated when reporters began investigating further, leading to a famous photo of Hart with a young woman on a yacht named "Monkey Business." The story broke just as Hart was gaining momentum in the polls, causing a significant backlash. Faced with mounting pressure and media scrutiny, Hart suspended his campaign. In today's America, the Hart story seems unreal. For Democrats, anything goes, really, anything, because a fawning media has abdicated its fourth estate role to scrutinize the actions of our political leaders. Here are four examples, all within the last few days. [...] https://tippinsights.com/with-a-compliant-driveby-media-anything-goes-in-modern-america-anything/

Daily Update on Biden Tanking America (Part 2)

A weak and delusional Biden at the UN President Joe Biden delivered his final address as president to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, and it was a masterpiece of narcissistic myth-making. It was a speech of hollow boasts that couldn't have been delivered at a worse time, as America is increasingly disregarded and disrespected around the world by enemies and allies alike. Casting himself as a great defender of democracy worldwide, Biden tried to turn the coup that removed him as the leader of his own party into an act of historic self-sacrifice. "This summer," he observed, "I faced a decision whether to seek a second term as president. It was a difficult decision. Being president has been the honor of my life. There's so much more I want to get done. But as much as I love the job, I love my country more. I decided after 50 years of public service, it's time for a new generation of leadership to take my nation forward. My fellow leaders, let us never forget that some things are more important than staying in power." What? [...] https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/3164847/weak-delusional-biden-at-un/ -
Comments on this? I wonder if this is partly a reason why Xi hasn't invaded Taiwan or Japan yet. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beijing is no longer hiding its panic about the state of its economy China pulled out an aggressive stimulus package on Tuesday. At a rare press briefing about China's economy, People's Bank of China governor Pan Gongsheng unveiled a swathe of measures, including slashing interest rates and reducing the amount of cash banks need to hold in their reserves. The measures were significant because Beijing has been holding back on a "bazooka" stimulus even though China's economy has been struggling to stage a convincing recovery post-pandemic. Kmart shuttering its last full-scale US store
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
What bugs me is that we had a whole thread here awhile back that discussed Sears & Kmart, and I can't find it. If someone finds a link, we can merge this thread with it. They already had the gigantic catalogue, name recognition, and goodwill. A crying shame. -
They grow up SO fast, si and sigh DA man. We would give a lot just to be able to turn back time and cuddle Infant Mini-B. in our arms again for even a few minutes, reminisce we man.
-
Not to get political in this thread, but we think that this is the biggest, and most rarely discussed, factor in the alleged or actual "women are paid less than men" observation, si and sigh man.

Just let 'em try... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Reeling From Israel's Attacks, Hezbollah Begs Iran to Strike Back Terrorist group Hezbollah reportedly called on Iran to launch an attack on Israel after the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a series of devastating assaults the organization in Lebanon, according to reports from Israeli officials. Iran has refrained from intervening so far, citing concerns about the timing as Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian is attending the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Axios reported. Two Israeli officials told Axios that Hezbollah sought immediate action from the Iranian regime. But they were rebuffed as Tehran is choosing to exercise caution for the time being. Kmart shuttering its last full-scale US store
TBoneTX replied to TBoneTX's topic in Current Events and Hot Social Topics
A heartfelt column. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Attention, Kmart Shoppers: You're About to Become a Thing of the Past [...] the gold standard — or the blue-light special standard — was Kmart. That was the store that had it all! Going to Kmart as a kid was almost an adventure. Our Kmart initially sat in the heart of town, and it was where everybody would go for a bargain. When you were at Kmart, you never knew when the next announcement of "Attention, Kmart Shoppers" would alert you to the next blue-light special, designed to draw your attention to a specific department where even more special deals awaited. Kmart had food, clothing, and electronics, all at prices that were hard to beat. I can still sing the jingle the store used to play over the PA system. "Kmart is your savings store / Where your dollar buys you more." [...] https://pjmedia.com/chris-queen/2024/09/24/attention-kmart-shoppers-n4932789 -
Look at their psycho reaction to this... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Trump's Act of Kindness at Grocery Store Sends Liberals Into a Frenzy During a campaign stop at Sprankle's Grocery Store in Kittanning, Pa., on Monday, former President Donald Trump surprised local mother of three Jenny Kantz by handing her $100 to help cover her grocery bill. This is excellent! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Some Disassembly Required: High-Tech Goes to War Against 7th-Century Savages The origin of the rocketry term Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly (RUD) is shrouded in mystery but it's just the funny engineer's way of saying the rocket blew up. What you've been witnessing in southern Lebanon these last several days is the Rapid Scheduled Disassembly of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, involving thousands of explosions instead of just one big one. The RSD got started last week with Israel's three-part virtual decapitation of Hezbollah's organization. That is, if "decapitation" is the correct word when exploding pagers removed Hezbollah bits a bit further down than their large heads. That was followed up, as I'm sure you know, the next day by exploding walkie-talkies. When Hezbollah's remaining leadership began to meet in person to overcome their crippled comms, the Israeli Air Force bombed the meetings. *chef's kiss* Now that Hezbollah is disorganized, almost leaderless, and deathly afraid to communicate with one another, Israel is going after its terrorist infrastructure — aided by some of the highest tech in service. Continued great news. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Top Hezbollah Missile Commander Killed in Another Targeted Israeli Strike If I were a Hezbollah commander of anything, I would check to see if my clothing has been made radioactive or if someone painted a big bullseye on my back. Another of Hezbollah's top commanders has been taken out in a precision strike that makes us wonder who's left to kill. Ibrahim Muhammad Qubaisi, commander of Hezbollah's missiles and rockets force, along with other Hezbollah commanders, were killed in a Beirut airstrike on Tuesday. The strike was one of 500 sorties Israeli warplanes flew to weaken Hzbnollah's command and control structure and sow confusion in advance of what is widely expected to be an Israeli invasion. "As Prime Minister Netanyahu said this week, Israel is 'not waiting for the threat; [it is] preempting it,'" Jacob Olidort, senior policy adviser at America First Policy Institute told Fox News.
