Hello everyone, I've been trying to make a payment in the CEAC website for my dad's visa after his i-130 was approved but have been issues doing so. Every time after I attempt to make a payment, be it the $120 for me (the petitioner) or the $325 for him, the website freezes with "Submitting your payment please wait...". The window eventually times out and when I try to log back in, it shows the payment "in-process" and eventually gets rejected. I confirmed with my bank that I'm using the right account number and the correct routing number and I also spoke to to a representative from pay.gov who confirmed that my payment never makes it through. I created numerous public inquiries in which I explain the situation and attempted to use a different bank account, a different browser, a different network and even attempted to pay from a different country (using my dad's computer from abroad) but none of these worked, the window always freezes after submitting the payment. I finally got a call from an NVC representative who essentially said that all I can do is keep trying, since other people are able to make a payment successfully. Thanks to their new system, no phone number or email work, so I have to create a new public inquiry every time. Has anyone faced a similar issue in the past? I'm beyond frustrated at this point.

You're right, but I meant from the moment he enters the US with his new stamp until he get his GC, if he needs to leave the country for a couple of days, does he need a special form? Sounds like it's safer not to leave until you get the GC in this case?

Hello everybody, I was naturalized over a year ago and now considering bringing my father to the US as a GC holder. I have a couple of questions, especially because his path is going to be very different than mine (I-130 & I-485, then adjustment of status, and eventually naturalization). In terms of work, I understand that he'd get a stamp upon arrival which allows him to work until he get his GC, is that correct? How long is his GC good for? Mine was good for 2 years and then I had to remove its conditions, but I'm assuming this isn't the case here..? To become a citizen he'd have to have his GC for 5 years (unlike me, where I had to wait only 3 years because I'm married to a US citizen), is that correct? Which forms do you typically submit in this case? Just the i-130? While waiting for his GC, how does he leave of the country? Should I also submit an i-131 form? One last question, to get a social security card, is the stamp he receives upon arrival sufficient to get the card, or do we have to wait for the actual GC? Thank you in advance

Hello, My dad applied for a tourist visa over 3 years ago and his interview kept getting pushed by a year every time thanks to COVID. Today he finally had his interview. He told the IO that it's been 3 years since he came to visit us and while he couldn't come visit, he missed my wedding and his first grandson's birth. He was immediately denied on the grounds of 214b. We prepared his paperwork for months and made sure that he had any possible proof to show that he can not only pay for his trip, but has every intention of going back home. The IO made it very clear that he's not interested in seeing ANY paperwork he had with him and immediately denied his case. It was almost like he made up his mind the moment he met my dad. We're losing hope at this point and we're very frustrated. Is there anything I can do as a US citizen from here to help? Talk to a state senator? File I-134 form? We'll do anything at this point.
