Unexpectedly we received our biometrics appointment letter for the i485 and i765 in the mail today. Notice date was Oct 23 and our appointment is for November 20.
The USCIS website, the USCIS app, the Lawfully app... none of these changed from "case was received" and "fingerprint fee was received". Even now the statuses remain unchanged and there were no other notification made to us so this was a complete surprise as we had been checking the above options multiple times on a daily basis.
We did, however, file a service request on Oct 19 as our 90 day mark for our local asc reopening had passed. Not sure if this biometrics scheduling was due to that but for anyone else waiting, I would definitely advise giving it a try!
And as others noted on here, the USCIS page and app appears to be completely unreliable in updating accurately, so for those that are very anxious, it seems communicating with a live rep seems to be the most and perhaps only accurate status checker.
Wishing everyone else good news very soon!
Did it show up on USPS informed delivery or was it a complete surprise in the mail?

My life feels like a joke. Sitting and waiting on USCIS just to put ink on my fingers and get the all clear from my boring background. I'm becoming severely depressed.

I also filed in Portland in early July and have yet to hear on biometrics have you had any update??
Nope. Still waiting for something to happen. Very boring if you ask me. I would much prefer to be working right now.

I called first thing in the morning. All I could do was have a service request submitted. Representative told me I should hear back in 15-30 days if not call again.

5.1 months since filing. NBC has a processing time for i765 of 4.5-6.5 months. If I don't receive a biometrics appointment by 6.5 months, do I just submit a case inquiry?

Same story here too! Last time I talk to a tier officer I was told that the inquiry for out of processing times consist in a request of information for status and does not generate an action, like schedule an appointment.
I`m just repeating what I was told, I do not know if that information is correct. But I`m for sure very disappointed. Basically it does not make any difference.
I called a week ago because on the USCIS website it says that if you hear nothing from 90 days after your local ASC opening that you should call. I couldn't find when my local (Portland) ASC reopened and the lady on the phone told me to call back on October 20th as the ASC reopened July 20th. I don't have high hopes but its something. I pray that there is news for all of us in the near future.

Hi, My receipt date is May/06 and my NOA is May/12. I haven't received any updates, even biometric. I checked USCIS processing time. I can only request service for I-131. While, I don't need AP, I thought if I do service request, that may distract their sleep!! and hopefully I can get biometric and EAD.
Does anyone have experience with USCIS service request? Is it gonna have any good/bad result?Same receipt date. Same story. Still waiting for a biometrics appt.

Hi. PD 05/06 no word other than NOA1. Is there something I'm supposed to be doing? Portland ASC reopened 121 days ago or so. I've never given biometrics before so I'm still waiting for an appointment notice.
