  1. It's hard to say because your office just might operate differently. For me, my officer gave me a specific timeline that he would probably have my records around Tuesday and he said he will approve it right away as soon as he gets it on the system. He might just be one of those people that really stays on top of things.
  2. I had a pending I-751 when I was interviewed for my N-400 case. My file was also in a different office so they had to request it to take action. I did not request for a combo interview but he said he will approve the I-751 case as well before he can approve the N-400 (he didn't interview my spouse). For me here's my timeline: Friday: Interview. I also got the update on I-751 that it was requested to be transferred Monday: it was updated that the I-751 case has been transferred to a different office. Tuesday: My I-751 showed that the card has been ordered. My N-400 was also approved and got my oath taking scheduled. Wednesday: I got the update that the I-751 case has been approved. 1 week after: Green card was mailed (received after 2-3 days) I think it depends on how quick they respond to cases because it looks like it moves forward as soon as they take action.
  3. Sharing an update. I had my interview on May 17th but officer had to request my i-751 into the Indianapolis office before they can approve my N-400. My I-751 was requested on the 17th and it got approved on the 21st (New Card Being Produced). I got my oath schedule notification online on May 22nd, scheduled for July 10th. Just waiting to do the oath ceremony now.
  4. Yeah. I was cautious but also wanted to keep it conversational. I got an update this morning that my card is being produced for I-751 and my N-400 was updated the Oath Ceremony will be scheduled.
  5. Hi all, Just wanted to share my interview experience in the Indianapolis office. I was scheduled last Friday on May 17th. I arrived there about 20mins before. My spouse had to find parking so I had to wait for him at the door so I can tell security he was with me. As soon as he got past security, I walked to the sitting area where the people waiting for interviews are being called. There was a guy who was talking to the people waiting and when he saw me, he asked for my name and recognized me and said I can go in with him. Apparently he was my interviewer and recognized me from my records. He told my spouse to stay at the waiting area. When we went to his office, he was making small conversation about my spouse but I think he was also evaluating me at the same time(?) asking about what he does for work and how we met. And then he told me that my I-751 record was in a different office so he had to request it the night before so he can approve that and my N-400 application. He said because he needs to take action first on the I-751, he will have to wait for my records to go through to the office, approve it, and THEN approve my N-400. But we can still do the interview and he will just take action on my N-400 once he's received all my records. He then proceeded to do the interview starting with the 6 questions. These are the one I can remember: economic system of the US, how many senators there are, the two political parties, how old citizens have to be to vote, what happened in the constitutional convention. I was able to get the 6 questions correct. He asked me to read something and then write something on the tablet. All throughout, he was asking me questions about things like what I do for work, my education, what house we got, how big it is and when we got it. He was partly asking them to get info but also to kill time because the computer is taking a while to respond. He then asked me the Yes-No questions and to confirm my information. After that, he said that things are good and provided me a printout of the decision. He said he had to check that he can't make a decision at the time because of my I-751 but it is nothing to worry about and I should be good as soon as the records come through. I was only there for maybe around 20 minutes which was really nice. As soon I got into the car, I got an email indicating that there has been an action on one of my cases. I looked at my USCIS account but there were no changes although after less than an hour, I checked again and I-751 was updated saying it's been requested to a different office. Now I'm just waiting for my oath taking ceremony to be scheduled. Will post again when I get my notice.
  6. For naturalization through marriage, are spouses required to be at the interview?

  8. I'm in Indiana. Just noting the change that happened which is nice to see.
  9. Submitted my forms on Feb 7 and biometric reuse document showed up immediately. Got my NOA physical copy a couple days ago. It's been sitting at "being actively reviewed since submission and estimated time to decision updated to 4 months (from 7 months) a few hours after I submitted.
  10. Is it possible to get an RFE after the first NOA? Or does receiving the 48-month extension means no RFE is needed? Sent 2/4 Received 2/6 Check went through 2/22 Received NOA 2/25
