Janaina and I are Christians and believe that God's will must always come first, regardless of our wants and needs. We met online in July of 2006 and before we realized it, we had fallen in love. After 4 months of daily telephone and web-cam conversations, I flew to Brazil to be with her and spend time with her family. I proposed to her my second day there. After two amazing weeks together, my work called and I flew back to California.
At first, she attempted to get a tourist visa and got an Aprill 11th appointment at the consulate in Sao Paolo. They denied her a visa stating she did not have enough time on her job. I had already prepared our K-1 package and mailed it the folowing day. God permitting, I will spend a month with her in Brazil and my native Costa Rica soon, while we wait out the Visa process.
