  1. No, they use the photo you took at your last biometric appointment. At least that's what they did for my certificate. It was the same photo as my GC.
  2. Yes, I applied at USPS and they took my original certificate and I received it back 4 days after receiving my Passport.
  3. Personally, I did the passport first because I had a passport appointment 2 days after my Oath. I received my passport exactly 10 weeks after applying then went straight to the SSA office to update my status. You don't get a new SSN, you keep your same SSN, they just update your citizenship status.
  4. Nevermind I received the Passport Card on 9/09/2023. Passport Timeline: 6/24/2023 - Application submitted at USPS for US Passport Book and Passport Card (Standard Processing) 6/29/2023 - Application shows In Process. Record locator starts with 62. (Check was cashed on 6/30/2023) 9/07/2023 - Passport Book received. 9/09/2023 - Passport Card received.
  5. Does anyone know how long it takes to get your Passport Card after receiving the Passport Book? My status changed to " Supporting Documents mailed 9/07/2023" but no mention about the passport card.
  6. Passport finally received today 9/07/2023. Took a total of exactly 10 weeks standard processing.
  7. Application Status changed to "Approved" today 9/05/2023. Says I should receive my passport by 9/11/2023.
  8. Shredded everything after my oath ceremony. But I do have PDF copies of some files.
  9. So just want to confirm... They're allowing name changes now at the LA office? I tried to change mine (also had the interview in LA) but the IO said they weren't allowing it anymore at the DTLA office and had me edit my application during my interview to reflect no name change.

  11. On your application status page it should say how long it takes. I applied in LA on 6/24 and it was received on 6/29 in the Tucson, AZ office. My status says "In Process" and that it will take 10-13 weeks since I opted for Routine Service.
  12. My notice was mailed on June 8, 2023, I did not receive it in the mail until June 16 and the Oath Ceremony was scheduled for June 22 in Los Angeles. Fortunately for me I saw it online because I randomly decided to log into my USCIS account on June 9. I had a trip planned from June 19 to June 25, so because I saw it online it gave me enough time to cancel my flights and reschedule.
  13. Mine was up until June 8 when it updated to "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed". Just received the notice and it's scheduled for June 22.
  14. Finally received my Oath Ceremony Notice! It's scheduled for June 22, 2023 in the LA Office. N-400 timeline: 01/26/2022: Applied online and received by USCIS, Informed of Biometrics reuse 06/17/2022: Interview scheduled 08/04/2022: Interview done. Passed English and Civics test but no decision could be made due to my pending I-751 06/08/2023: Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed
  15. Marriage certificate, Divorce Decree, Bank Statements, Utility Bills, Tax Returns/Transcripts, Apartment Leases, Dog License showing joint ownership, LOTs of photos, Travel Itineraries, Life Insurance Policy, Signed Affidavits, Copy of my Ex's Driver's License, US Passport and birth certificate. But again, the IO did not ask me to show him anything and did not bring up anything about my previous marriage nor did he ask any personal questions. Just reviewed the application and asked the civics questions.
  16. He did not ask anything about my ex… probably because I filed under the 5 year rule. I did come prepared with tons of evidence regarding my previous marriage but there was no mention of it in the interview.
  17. Hello, I am also divorce and filed based on 5 years rule. I had my N400 interview on 8/4/2022. The IO just reviewed my answers on the N400 application and the questions I was asked were: What did the Emancipation Proclamation do? What is one right or freedom from the First Amendment? Name your U.S. Representative. In what month do we vote for President? What is one reason colonists came to America? What is the name of the national anthem? I got all the answers correct. He then handed me a paper that stated I passed the English and Civics test but a decision could not be made due to my pending I-751. My I-751 has since been approved as of December 2022. Still waiting for approval of my N400.
  18. Thank you for the update! Hope your wife's interview went well!
  19. Mine took 4 years. Applied December of 2018 and was only approved December of 2022.
  20. "USCIS schedules Oath Ceremony If you are approved for citizenship, a USCIS official will schedule an oath ceremony. If you want your name changed, your ceremony must be in front of a judge (usually in a courthouse). Many oath ceremonies are not held in front of judges. Ask at your USCIS interview if your ceremony can be held in front of a judge. If it can't or you don't want to wait until a judge is available, you will need to do a different process to change your name. " from https://selfhelp.courts.ca.gov/name-change/citizenship I asked to change my name at the Downtown LA office back in August but the officer that did my interview said they were not currently doing name changes at that time. Not sure if things have changed this time around. Please update us if they are now allowing the name change in DTLA.
  21. No, I originally filed my I-751 on 12/19/2018 and only got approved on 12/08/2022. So about a 4 year wait for me but I still got approved.
  22. They received my response to the RFE on 2/5/2020. I got an interview notice sometime in February 2021. Had the interview in April 2021. Finally got approved for the 10 year green card on 12/08/2022, so more than a 2 year wait for me from the RFE receipt date, 4 year wait from when I initially filed my I-751 with divorce waiver.
  23. They said I didn't have enough evidence of entering the marriage in good faith. Although I did originally send every single joint checking/savings bank statement, driver's licenses, our apartment lease which we renewed every year that we had lived in together for at least 8 years, utility bills, Tax returns, Life Insurance, photos, trip itineraries, etc... I really didn't have anything to add so I sent the same exact paperwork back in response to the RFE with an affidavit from my best friend who also was the person who introduced us to each other. Also added papers from when we adopted a dog together. But that was the only new thing I added.
