I went in today at 7:30 a.m. and waited in line in hopes I could get my biometrics done, as others in this thread have suggested they did the same.
The supervisor told me they could not see me as USCIS had not rescheduled my appointment with a new date. If I get a new date before I leave for Australia he said I can come in and see him and do it, but since USCIS has not given me a new appointment date, he can't do my biometrics. He said within the next 30 days I should receive a new appointment date.
If I don't receive a new appointment date by the time I leave for Australia, do you think I should bring more evidence with me to get back into America other than my extension letter, expired green card and valid Australian Passport? I have to go back home as this trip has been planned over a year in advance and I haven't been home in 2 years. I was away in California when the letter was sent and didn't get an update via email I was a scheduled appointment.
Silly me, should have checked my account every day.
