Interview: binders, yay or nay?
Bob in Boston replied to Cranberry_anon's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
We used Binders. Officer took the Binder reviewed the contents and took copies of the documents he wanted. If you do the Binder make sure there is a copy of each document. Officer thanked me for being so organized and making it easy. Having a binder made it easy for me to review and see that I had everything I needed. -

I did it all. Put her on life ins policies, utility bills, holiday greeting cards addressed to both of us. Ids and licenses with same address, pictures of us on vacation and with each other's families. Use your imagination. Like I said it's a game, play it. Once you are done with them you can go back to your old ways. For the record a little on our background. Wife was a 24 year overstay and they had us set up for a stokes interview. Once the officer seen how prepared we were he thanked me for making this easy for him and my wife and him came out laughing and joking. Card produced 3 hours later. Play the game and give them what they want. Put some effort into it and take it seriously. 4 years almost to the day to citizenship. -

My Wife has her bank accounts and I have mine. We did do a joint checking account to pay house bills. She deposits her share and I deposit mine. We pay the bills and there we have it. That was good enough for USCIS. Sometimes you just have to play the game and give them what they want till you dont have to answer to them anymore. Makes life easier. -

100 Questions on a pdf?
Bob in Boston replied to Skyman's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Thats what we did too. Had Utube streaming through car speakers and did the practice tests they have on there. Helped her a lot. Did it on way to work and ride home. 40 mins or so each way and I drove. Worked great. -
Sounds like there is some info that they just dont want to share. If your X did send something they probably wont show you because they dont want to risk any harm to her. Is there something your worried about? Seems like it. It is not a standard letter. most of the time they just send the info.

Residence history on N-400

I think as long as you explain your situation in Part 14 I think you will be OK. You were'nt homeless and didnt have a physical address but not in a shelter. None of the given situations apply so where your mail went with an explanation that you were on a vacation should be ok. Not like your hiding anything. Good Luck -
Residence history on N-400
Bob in Boston replied to Skyman's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
I Just checked the form, Physical Address is asked for. (Been a while since I seen form). You could just put "Traveling in Motor Home" and give the specifics in Part 14 Additional Information. He could also use the mailing address and also provide the Specifics in Part 14 Additional information. I would put the mailing address if it was a friends or family and just explain away if this was my circumstances. -

Taken from this website:What Crimes Does Immigration Not Forgive? (urbinalawfirm.com) What crimes are unforgivable by immigration and can cause my deportation? There are a number of crimes that are unforgivable by immigration and can lead to the deportation of an immigrant to the United States. You should know that, according to the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), if you are deported for any of these offenses, you will be barred from re-entering the country. Aggravated felonies under INA Section 101(a)(43): Felonies are serious crimes that may include, but are not limited to, physical violence, armed robbery, sex offenses, and drug trafficking…. Drug offenses: this includes trafficking, possession and sale of any prohibited drug. Crimes of moral turpitude or depravity: These are crimes against morals and ethics, such as child abuse, prostitution (in certain states), incest, lewd acts with minors and theft. Violent crimes with prison sentences of up to 1 year: Violent crimes, such as assault or battery, can have serious consequences on your immigration process. Money laundering, fraud and tax evasion for amounts over $10,000: these are serious financial crimes involving concealing or disguising the illicit origin of money obtained through illegal activities, obtaining goods or services through deception or forgery, and the intentional omission to pay taxes. Sexual offenses: are those that involve any type of non-consensual or forced sexual contact with another person, or any type of illegal sexual activity, such as rape, sexual abuse or sexual harassment. It is important to keep in mind that every case is different and it is always advisable to seek the assistance of a qualified immigration attorney for specific advice regarding your situation.

People do change their minds after being with someone for a while. If it was real in the begining and she grew tired of you its not fraud, just making the best of a bad situation. I hung in there till they changed the alimoney laws here in Mass. Same difference. Just stay away from her. A lot of women are coached to press DV charges to get a better deal.

Child Support

Child Support is for Unmarried Parents, sometimes court mandated. You are married so no child support. You live as a family. -
