  1. I think we are reading into this a little too much. With every 100 applications being submitted 85 are for 5 year and 16 are for 3 year. Simple thinking here. Naturaly more 5 year letters go out. As far as the evidence for a married couple most of what was required I already had from AOS and ROC and just uploaded it along with a few updates. IO didnt want to see anything and after a 7 month wait she spent 15 minutes with the IO and she was done. Her reasons for wanting her citizenship was to be able to Vote and be able to travel like an american and that is what she told him when asked. Other persons have their own reasons which is explained in the average time some people remain LPR for the median 7.3 years.
  2. our 3 year interview came in 7 months.... (8/21-3/22). under 4 years from AOS to citizen. B-2 overstay
  3. it just means your previous prints are good enouth to process your application and they do not need to do new ones. still keep your biometric fee though. has nothing to do with approval time
  4. so if you didnt overstay and did a k1 you could start work. Price you pay for for the overstay. it will be forgiven onc you get your Green card approved. Lawful Status means you came on a visa of some sort.authorized stay is only for spouses of US Citizens while they AOS. Bad time will be forgiven WHEN Green card is approved. untill then.....it is what it is
  5. no easy way around it. Your status will not change until you get your green card. it is what it is. you are a work in progress, to fix your past sins you must wait until they make you a perminant resident. if you left the country with out AP you would not be let back in for many years till your bar has been served. Dont push your luck. find another job until you are truly a perminant resident.
  6. paper ones are long gone. no electric one either. You are Paroled back into the states so no 94 is given.
  7. WE did it, YOU WILL NOT GET A NEW I-94. You are not here on a visa You are Paroled back into the country
  8. As I said it takes a while, all these different agencies do not talk to each other, not on same computer system
  9. my wife was here 24 years befor she met me. We married, filed all the aos paperwork, got combo card ead/ap card. Went straight to SS and got a number 2 weeks later. off to DMV and got State ID (she does not drive) got her Job. and then her green card. her past never came up as a problem. Could be the way you present yourself to these different agencies. most jobs do theit own background checks (Called Cori Checks) and it does take a bit for your updated info to get in the system as the agencies involved do not talk to each other in the back ground.
  10. yes I am. I think you will go into the other line I mentioned. It was a lot shorter than mine though.... so maybe not too bad.
  11. Well congratulations to the both of you. Long Journey is coming to an end
  12. We just arrived last night. All they do is scan the barcode on your paper or phone (we printed paper) and off you go. if you dont have the barcode you have tp go to another line. Whole process is painless. Just another line to go through.
  13. The Divorces I've been through its usually noted on the decree that wife has option to take her maiden name back. That is your permission. It costs money though so if your decree is filed with your ROC you should be able to change it then. If not wait to N400 time. dont forget about state DL or ID and SSN credit cards and all those little things.
  14. I am leaving from Boston Ma this Friday. 20 hour trip airport to airport on Korean Airt. Leave at noon and get there at 9:55 PM manila time. I paid $1535 and booked the trip March 9th. Im due back Jan 8 at 9am. Had I played around with the times and dates I could have got it a little cheaper but this worked great for me. Leave mid day and get home in the morning. Good luck to all in their travels.
  15. Have a lawyer file a quitclaim deed with the county putting your wifes name on the house. really simple.
  16. from your timeline it looks like you have the time in to naturlize under 5 year rule. Do it!
  17. Not sure where your from but some countries when they issue the new passport they put holes in the old one to cancel it out. If they do this and you have your visa in the old passport ask them not to put the holes in your visa. It will still be good along with the new Passport.
  18. we filed in Aug of 21. Took about 6 months to get a letter for interview in March. Check out timeline for more info
