  1. Any August filers still waiting? I was able to chat with Emma and the agent said my app is still with the NBC. I-751 is also pending.
  2. I’m in the same position. Seattle filer and others who applied around the same time/after already have interviews scheduled. Perhaps combo cases take longer to process? My estimated completion time is 21 days and it looks like there’s no way of that happening now.
  3. Estimated decision time updated to 30 days. My case is still being actively reviewed. I-751 is also pending and saying the same.
  4. For those of you with pending I-751s, do you feel your cases took longer to process due to this? I'm seeing a bunch of people who filed around the same time as me getting interviews but I'm still on case is being actively reviewed. :(
  5. I wonder why some cases are taking longer than others. Same FO, August filer but my roc is also pending. We have a friend who filed on the same day as us (5 year rule not based on marriage) and they now have their interview scheduled.
  6. Do pending I-751/N-400 cases typically take longer to process? We have a friend who applied on the same day in August (has a 10 year gc for the past 8 years) and was scheduled for their N-400 interview this week. I’ve also seen that people get an I-751 was transferred update but mine is still stuck on case is being actively reviewed.
  7. Mine says, cmsfailure: false ackedbyadjudicatorandcms: true Any idea what that means?
  8. Hi everyone, I applied for citizenship last week and almost immediately received biometrics reuse and receipt notice updates. When the forms arrived in the mail, I realized the receipt notice has a received date but not a priority date. I double checked with my online account and the same appears there. Is it normal for the N-400 receipt notice to not have a priority date?
  9. I know this question has been asked many times before but I've read different information regarding this. I'm preparing to apply for my N400 and have decided to take my spouse's last name. We decided to keep our previous last names but have now changed our mind. Is it pretty simple to request the change on the N400 form? I read that you can simply use a marriage certificate to change, but I would also like the citizenship paperwork to reflect the new last name.
  10. As long as your GC is not expired, you're fine to re-enter without the extension letter. If you were filing now, I would advise you to file asap, as most I-751 cases are receiving their extension letters within a couple weeks of filing. I-751s are moving to online processing, so I think that's a good sign for the future. Ultimately, I think it's best to wait and see what current I-751 processing is like in 2025.
  11. This is for IOE cases. USCIS is transitioning I-751s to online processing, so it appears as though all cases are now receiving online access codes. It's been pretty good so far, as you have the option to view USCIS notices faster, see that a potion of your application has been uploaded, and upload additional documentation in an 'unsolicited evidence' section. I believe the N-400 has had an online filing option for a while now. Congrats on your approval! I'm guessing you've been waiting a long time for that?
  12. Same here, I only see a small fraction of what was sent to USCIS. We also plan on doing the same, as in submitting pertinent additional evidence along on the way.
  13. My spouse (US citizen) and I (LPR) have decided we want to have the same last name. For context, we are a same sex couple and at first chose to not follow the name change route. I have decided to take their name - my I-751 was recently filed (August 2023). Would it be best to wait until this is completed or can I update UCSIS with this information? I have an online account and there is an option to upload more documents. I was thinking of submitting paperwork with our local court, changing documents (ID, SSN, bank etc.), uploading this information and requesting for my application to be processed with my new name. Do you think this is an option?
  14. That's good! I got a notification last week saying they were reusing my biometrics. I remember waiting months for a biometrics appointment during AOS.
  15. Just curious, did everyone receive IOE numbers? I'm thinking that USCIS is now processing every I-751 application electronically. I've been reading that these cases have been experiencing faster processing times, but I don't want to get my hopes up.
  16. I just received two NOAs in the mail: - First one confirming my case is processing electronically (with an IOE receipt number). - The second saying my biometrics have been re-used. I'm a little confused, as I've seen other peoples cases being processed in paper form. Are all I-751 cases now being processed in this way? Filed at the Phoenix lockbox, but the address on the bottom of the NOA form is from Texas.
