More  monthly bank statements the better, so not just last bank statements. Send it all. Chase credit card, u can download the statement through the phone all in pdf file, it’s way nicer than screenshot

Always file with IRS tax transcripts. here’s why. Think of it this way: an IRS tax transcript is like a store receipt. It proves that you already completed the transaction. Your Form 1040 only shows what you filled out, but it’s not proof that you actually filed your taxes, if that makes sense.

I’ve helped about 50 people file over the past few years, and my motto is always to overwhelm USCIS with strong evidence to avoid an RFE. I don’t like to “hold” evidence for the interview. I want to get approved right away.
You can file now with your 2022, 2023, and 2024 tax transcripts. It’s understandable that you don’t need to submit your 2025 tax transcript yet since you have until April 15, 2026, to file that one.

N-400 is the only form that im comfortable to file online. The rest ? All paper including i-751

P.S. I just filed mine less than two weeks ago too, and yes I submitted 5 years of IRS tax transcript because im OCD and I’ve been filing jointly with my spouse that long

Verrou got a reaction from TBoneTX in Combo interview i-751 and N-400. US spouse can not attend
Be prepared for anything. A friend of mine with a similar situation (I-751 combo with N-400) had trouble at the USCIS office in Jacksonville, FL back in 2022. The security officers wouldn’t let her in, even though she brought her spouse’s deployment orders, he was stationed in Korea at the time. She begged and cried, but the security wouldn’t budge.

Fortunately, an immigration officer happened to walk by, asked what was going on, and told the security to let her in. He ended up being the officer who interviewed her. During the interview, he mentioned that he had once been deployed to Korea himself, so he understood her situation. After the interview, he rushed her case so she could take the oath ceremony the same day. She was the last person to walk in.

So if they don’t let you in, demand to speak with a supervisor. Good luck!

Yes you can choose a date if you reschedule it online through the portal. We did it for Jaycel’s appointment. @a89syd9a I noticed the same thing when we rescheduled Jaycel’s biometrics but didn’t pay it much attention because we were trying to get it rescheduled for an earlier date anyway

Well did u change ur name in the end or u cancel the name change part ? If you change ur name, u need to see before judge for judicial oath ceremony. U can’t do administrative oath ceremony (USCIS officer ). It’s right if you did change ur name, it can delay the oath ceremony especially in small city like my city 😂

if you just take ur spouse last name and u have marriage certificate to prove it, it’s not considered name change, so USCIS officer can do oath ceremony for u.

that’s why I decide to change my name in probate court. Only $85 in my county. I filed on 12/23. I will see the judge tomorrow and will get the court order same day, then I will apply for n-400. My early filing window open yesterday.

But if u decide not to change ur name, that means ur field office just busy.

per 12/15 if your biometric on file is more than 3 years old, USCIS will send biometric appointment.
is it gonna delay the case? maybe yes maybe not. nothing we can do though

Verrou got a reaction from 2022 in Relationship is very strained, don't know what to do
what struck me when i read your post, i keep thinking, what do you really want? we can all give input, suggestion, but this is about relationship and feelings and not immigration stuff. all i hear mostly excuses from both of you. cant, cant cant but in fact it seems it's more WONT. if u wanna make things work, then do something, if u wanna give up, then just divorce. noone can tell u what to do.

just want to add, IT job is not a piece of cake this past few years (i know because im married to managerial level IT guy)  by paper maybe it's easy for him to get one, that's by paper. even for US citizen it's hard to get that kind of job, many2 lay off, even full time job is not secured (again, i know because im married to one and it's a struggle), let alone foreigner who has no experience in the US. if u said if u walk to buy groceries it's gonna take 1 hour? seems not a big city to me.  that means less IT job in that area, and most IT job now is not remote. i mean i like ur optimism about he can get a job easily, but what if he cant? have u think about it ? how bout he cant get a job for 14 months ( happened to my husband back in 2020) or 6 months (happened to my husband in 2023/4 and he just got a job literally 3 months ago).  the company that he currently work said its a remote job, but in reality he told me he can't do work if he didnt come in person at least 2-3 days a week because need to access something at work (cant be done remotely). he's working in the capital of IT company and not in the middle of nowhere. he kept looking and IT job is not great at the moment. more layoff than hiring. and he's the USC not the immigrant. he always got a good paying job up until few years ago because again, lotsa of layoff.

what im trying to say, do u have a back up plan if it happened to ur husband? ( cant find work even with the precious EAD). and i dont understand about need kitchen, dont want studio bla bla bla, at this moment, he has no job, he's not working, but why he has too many conditions right now, dont want this dont want that when he seems broke to me.  and u said he ran out of his saving, so dont know why he whined so much. ( maybe because i only hear ur side, and not his side).

just being in love without $$$ will strained the relationship. people can say whatever they want, but if u are broke, love will dissapear because when you are hungry, u cant eat love. and the worst part is, seems the love is not there too.

    good luck
