  1. U need to find someone with real job / active income as joint sponsor. The government wants to make sure that the sponsor + joint sponsor to be responsible. U only have 1 shot and social security benefits for your daughter won’t cut it. Dont rock the boat
  2. Who do you sponsor ? Is it marriage base or family base or something else ? Which category? I saw you are in NVC, has the petition has been approve by USCIS yet ? Need more info before we can give you correct advise
  3. i will try again 1 more time with walk in ( if it's not far from where u live). hopefully got a different person or try chat/call emma and say "info pass" ask tier 1 to ask tier 2 to call you there's also message option on my uscis account, u can send a message to them ( but it's not heavily monitored) try to reach out to your local congressperson, maybe they are willing to help there's no time frame for appointment, they do whatever they want unfortunately try to get outside ur area, type USCIS field office and look around if they accept walk in or you have to go to a specific ASC ( most big cities assign biometric in ASC and not in local field office)
  4. been a couple months already know ( refering to mike E) and why? guess you have to ask him yourself my take for n-600 : in the new future who knows if the kids who only have US passport/card might petition their future spouse ( u never know right). who knows USCIS ( if they didnt change the name again - it was INS 2 decades ago) might said US passport is not enough, u have to submit birth certificate or n-400 or n-600. also US passport = Department of State and USCIS = DHS. 2 different agencies. as you know they dont communicate to each other well enough. so this is just an expensive investment, IMO
  5. when you enter US, u can let them know so they can update ur address
  6. 1. sometimes they "lost" it. i will wait till RFE before i get another medical. 2. yes....sometimes many months
  7. if I were you, I will get my US passport first. once u have the US passport, u can live wherever you want without the restriction like LPR status ( need to reside in the US at least 6 months / year)
  8. they wont take photo album just use powerpoint, attach the pictures + add discriptions ( max 3 pics in 1 slide), print it out in letter size, it's okay to print it out black and white.....then mail it
  9. second this ! they want to see transactions, eg : pay cable, pay rent, buy groceries etc. normal marital life sharing financial together. my suggestion is always minimum 3 months full statements. they dont care about a piece of letter stating that person A added person B vice versa without real transaction statement. now obviously u have deadline for RFE so send whatever you have and not waiting for 3 months statement. all my statement from the bank are paperless and i can access it by login on the app / website and just download it
  10. on the RFE it said share marital life together. technically yes its from the day you married to present. but that's the standard generic letter for RFE anyway but i dont see the harm to add on the evidence since when u were dating ( for example : boarding pass to show whoever visit the other). this past 2 years i helped filing many AOS, even with wedding pictures and from the day they dated, photos that we submitted never exceed 15 pics. focus on evidence of cohabitation / finance more. that's they want to see that you guys share live together
  11. if u fill up G-1145 u (sometimes) / will get text messages from USCIS with receipt number. but sometimes even when u did, u still didnt get any text message. what you can do is check is the check already cash out by uscis ? if it's cash out, the snail mail letters will come 10-20 days. obviously this is just rough estimation.
  12. gotcha...i will give another 1 week, and in the mean time prepare a new package ready to send. if u decide to send a new package, cancel the original check first obviously. i help a lot of people filing and this past few weeks it's been weird. i noticed some of them didnt get the text message from USCIS, or tracking system its not updated, but turned out they reused the old biometric etc etc. and on top of that it was holiday season when they received it. but i agree with u.... 12/19 u should get something or anything by now whatever it is
  13. if ur package never been receive by USCIS, if i were u, i will put new date for the signature. there's no harm since u need to have wet signature anyway. just think this way " file like u file a brand new application/ submission". im very OCD and meticulous so i rather start fresh. it's okay if i94 expired, as long as u married within 90 days since the person come with K1. just print the copy of i-94 from CBP website.
  14. ur wife its not the first immigrant non english speaker patient that they handle for immigration purposes medical just please dont brought that violation thing subject up to the hospital. what do u want to gain here? i dont know about ur wife, but i ( the immigrant) just want to get the medical... period. if i dont like them for some reason, i will bring the business somewhere else. there's no shortage of civil surgeons here in the US
  15. just to be clear because u write i-693 but u post on consular processing group, where is ur wife gonna do her medical? inside US or outside US? i can say for inside US, there's no genital, breast check etc since this is not ob-gyn annual check up, and for south east asia countries, there's never happened either. that's will be discriminatory if woman have to endure that check while man didnt. i cant say much about CONUS. as in you bringing up the violation subject about hospital have the provide translator, is it US hospital or outside US? i assume it's US hospital since u brought US law on it. i work in the US hospital at the moment so i know a a bit about translator situation. many interpreter available in my hospital are indeed on call ( [phone) and not in person. there's no way hospitals hiring full time interpreter to cater all language in person. for my language, if it's the case, they wont have anything to do since i never met single indonesian in the past 3.5 years i live in my state. if you dont like that hospital because u think they violate the law, why dont u : 1. bring ur own translator OR 2. find another place to do medical ( again my assumption this is medical inside the US, i know outside US the option is limited). for example in NYC there's more than 100 surgeon available. there's many people who did AOS inside US and cant speak english at all, have no issue getting their medical and submitted to USCIS and then get their GC. most of the time they are accompany by their family member during doctor visit to help the language barrier. if u said ur turkish is basic, then how u speak with ur wife? i assume english ? i think u over thinking this situation.
  16. in marriage certificate listed FIL's last name is Rodriguez correct ? if yes, it wont be an issue. MIL can justify that after she's married she took her husband last name. a bit a nuance here. took is not equal name change ( usually name change is completely different first name and last name for example : "mary jane doe smith" become "lady gaga rodriguez". it is obvious why mary jane smithbecome mary jane doe de redriguez.... by submitting the marriage certificate that shows FIL's name is " papa RODRIGUEZ"
  17. update timeline 5 years rule - GC from consular processing ( parent of USC) filing date (online) : 12/22/23 biometric schedule : 12/27/23 ( just got the letter last week, its for 1/19/24 appointment) field office : Los Angeles
  18. i helped a friend filing early by 60 days ( and not 90 days )before her GC anniversary just to avoid the issue ( can't take oath )
  19. sorry it happened to you. if you wanna try 1 more time and dont want to wait for ur actual GC to arrive, go to different DMV
  20. Yes. She can change both first name and last name on N-400 application
  21. friend got hers (ADIT stamp) few months ago, 2 months before her actual trip.
  22. She always can apply for b1/b2 visa. But depend on the consulate. If not so busy, she most likely will get her GC asap
