Explanations with evidence needed?
Verrou replied to M&Y_2019's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
No to Sticky notes. And it’s fine not to have return boarding pass. If u think that you need to explain with notes, then don’t use it. All evidence need to be clear -

Just go to that appointment. Don’t take any chance that might jeopardize the case.USCIS “might” said the person is not attending the biometric therefore case might denied. Never know with them -
How soon biometric after filing petition?
Verrou replied to Dantrolene's topic in General Immigration-Related Discussion
there's no gov website can give you information for when you will get biometric appointment. normally biometric is around 4 weeks after your receipt letter. but depend on how busy is the field office / application support center -

usually just normal questions regarding on family ( between you and ur parents) please come to the interview with them does your parents fluent in english? if not, bring a translator -
pls read my updated comment

is it for AOS or for consular processing? if AOS, the person who translate it, just need to write that " i, [name] translate this document, i can read and speak english" something like that. u can always notarized or get certified translator aswell for consular processing

Indian passport renewed after K1 visa arrival?
Verrou replied to Rj6368's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Just bring both passport no issue -
what is the latest information on USPS? does it say returned to USCIS or not? if yes, u can reach out to ur local congressperson to ask for help. it happened to me in 2020 for my EAD, similar situation but it actually said returned to USCIS. ask my local congressperson and it all sort out in a week. do you still live in the same city? try to go to ur old place and perhaps ask the current tenant? if u live far away, maybe u can ask your friend or family to visit the old place? worth to try. i will try that method first before filing for i90. and u can always try to file i90 without the fee but it's highly unlikely they will waived the fee. attached brief explanation that u already submitted address change ( dated before i-485 got approved) and the proof of AR11

Verrou replied to Techniix's topic in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
she can keep her maiden name on the passport, if her GC has her married name, just bring the marriage certificate, it will explain the discrepancy. u can try to make info pass appointment for ADIT stamp, and also, try to walk in to the field office if u cant get that appointment by phone. just be nice to the staff in the field office and hope they will let you in. -

Recommendations for Paper Filings to Avoid Scanning Delays Release Date 11/16/2022 As we move toward an increasing electronic environment, we now scan and upload many documents into electronic database systems. To avoid delays and improve scanning efficiency, we recommend that you do not: Hole punch, staple, paper clip, binder clip, or otherwise attach documents to one another. Include photos or documents smaller than 4x6 inches for evidentiary purposes. Provide photocopies of these items instead. The only exception is when we request a passport photo with the filing. Include anything that contains electronic chips and batteries (such as musical greeting cards) or any non-paper materials such as cassette tapes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, toys, action figures, or thumb drives. We will not accept these types of materials. However, we will accept photographs or photocopies of these items. Submit forms or evidence documents bound with a binding or spiral wire/plastic. Submit evidence using photo albums, scrapbooks, binders, or greeting cards. Fold documents. Place sticky notes on documents. Use insertable tab dividers. Print forms on colored paper. Submit more than one copy of the same document or evidence unless required by the form instructions or regulations. If you are required to submit a copy of a complete prior application, petition, or request, clearly mark it as a “COPY” at the top of each page to ensure it is processed as intended. Send original documents such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, driver’s licenses, passports, naturalization certificates, except when: Required by the form instructions for the application, petition, or request you are filing; or We specifically issue a request for you to submit an original document. Avoiding these activities will improve our efficiency as we process your application, petition, or request. source : https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/alerts/recommendations-for-paper-filings-to-avoid-scanning-delays
