  1. have u file the K1 yet or not? if you havent file it, u can submit proof when u meet, pictures, boarding pass, chat log, and letter of intent to marry, if you have receipt of the ring purchase ( if any ring) u can submit that too. no need to submit any wedding plan yet since u wont know the exact date yet. this one right ? @Jorgedig

  3. u can obviously file under 5 years rule, less burden. congrats. 6 years is crazy ride. guess 2 years + 48 month extension have been count well by USCIS
  4. normally yes, but since you guys marriage to each other twice, i dont see its weird for them to ask the first marriage certificate.
  5. just wanted to give 3 months update, after reaching out to almost 30 non profit organizations both in MA and ME, they all said no we cant help you. MA wont help me because my residence is in Maine even though my case is is Boston, and ME non profit organization wont help me either because they cant "handle" difficult case like removal proceeding. i called almost 70 lawyers in Boston and 10 lawyers in ME for one month straight. all lawyer in ME said, no we cant help u because i dont think they want to handle " difficult " case. got my 3 top picks lawyer from MA and ready to go, but another lawyer ( not the top 3, she cant take my case because she super busy with her exisiting case ) from MA told me to try to talk to my current lawyer 1 more time and see if he's willing to file motion to terminate directly to the court. took me 6 weeks straight to keep emailing my NYC lawyer ( once a week), i didnt get any response, zero. on week 7 he finally gave in, called me and he said he will file the motion by New year and very defensive about the whole thing. i dont want to have argument with him and just hold what he said about when hes gonna file. he did file before christmas, but noone from his office reach out to me and i only found out when i emailed them after new year. SMH. last week when i checked the EIOR website, it said my removal proceeding has been terminated. still waiting for the termination letter, hopefully my lawyer will send me the copy this week. im no longer in deportation, and one last step will hopefully just to reopen my i-485 thats admin closed with USCIS. P.S. i know almost all Boston and MA lawyers by now, if anyone need input/opinion, u can reach out to me 😃 PPS. i can even wrote my own Motion to terminate ( even though my lawyer wont use it,dont know why) to the court.
  6. exactly why.... https://www.passportindex.org/comparebyPassport.php?p1=id&p2=us i remembered 23 years ago my visa application is the only one who got rejected when the whole family went to australia for vacation. made me super pissed.
  7. many countries don't acknowledge dual citizenship. and if that person has properties in their home country that can be an issue. i myself will go for citizenship when the time will come, just because i love to travel overseas and with my home country passport, visa almost always required. literally have to apply visa and not visa on arrival, paid $100-200 for visit visa and there's no guarantee i will get that visa. if they said denied, money's gone. US passport definitely better for me while i know many people who got their greencard, they didnt even leave their home state let alone traveling overseas.
  8. LOL this is crazy ! 2years + 4 years = 6 years soon catching up with 10 years GC
  9. usually when they transfered the case to other service center means they are sharing the backlog case to "lighter" load service center. hopefully it actually speed up the process.
  10. i will use the most updated / current form to all of the form that you are going to send next. my suggestion, copy everything before you resend the application. if they send back your application, usually they wont take the money order ( unprocessed)
  11. the reason they ask for 5 years because other than marriage case ( 3 years rule) other greencard holder can only apply after 5 years. i will put travelling outside US started on the day he got his greencard
  12. does serious illness has doctor's note? i will use that doctor note as proof + bank statement showing no income from ur wife because she cant work + add ur job offer letter. good luck!
  13. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition/step-2-begin-nvc-processing.html
  14. what name do u want to be on ur GC? if u want to have ur married name on ur GC, use ur married name on AOS application. the evidence is ur marriage certificate u can still use ur maiden name on ur passport and dont need to change it if u dont want to when u travel, u can bring ur passport, GC ( in the future ) and marriage certificate if there's discrepancy
  15. where did u have interview for AOS? i will use that USCIS field office location ( the city) edit. u can put ur zipcode and check ur field office if u never got interview u also dont need to file for n-400 if u dont want to and just file i-90
  16. i think you just need to pursue to apply for greencard once both of you wants to go back to the US. no point now. 319(b) didnt apply to you, u dont even have GC now. that is for naturalization expedite
  17. it wont be consider abandon because you haven't got your green card yet. how long is her teaching job?
  18. If you rent mailbox from UPS, their mail address is actual address of the store with ur box number. So it won’t show as PO Box, u can rent that box.
  19. u guys need joint sponsor. ur husband still gonna be the main sponsor. there's no harm to file a new i-864 for ur husband with the updated information / job. just to be clear, u said he's ur husband but u guys filed K1 ?
  20. usually u need to have biometric before u file for expedite. if u have biometric on file, uscis most likely will reused that. u can always try to get job offer letter on hand, worth to try
