    i agreed with u mike. but as u know USCIS do whatever they want. totally not fair to people there's this FB group. someone came to the US with K1, did AOS interview back in April 2021 and seems no red flag. still no GC until now

    no error or glitch, USCIS is on fire to approve AOS without interview especially ( not all) for people who just got married or before 2 years anniversary of their wedding. dont know the reason why, but my guess, they want to bank in the money for the next step when you guys filed for Removal of COndition. there's no hard rule who got interview waived or not. i think it just depend on the officer. congrats ! and card usually will come within 1-2 weeks.

    it doesnt really matter. many people didnt even do studio photos nowdays. some didnt even have wedding party.

    if u send it now, 2021 still can be use as the latest tax return. deadline for 2022 usually its around mid april 2023.

    as long as you got married within 90 days when u are entered USA u are okay K1 expired date is unrelated

    Unfortunately in the eye of USCIS u are not the only one who is human and have a family. Many many people also deal with the same issue with your issue. I haven’t meet my parents for over 6 years. Immigration is not a joke

    1. Never send medical without RFE letter from USCIS. Just wait for RFE to come then decide if the old medical still valid or not to send. Until then, just wait 4. Ur parent can only apply tourist visa on their behalf. You can’t apply or sponsor for them for tourist visa. Normally if your parents can show strong ties with their home country the bigger chance for them to get tourist visa than told the consulate / embassy about ur vawa status.

    What kind of violation ? If it’s clear I don’t think it’s gonna be an issue otherwise you won’t get ur greencard.

    K1 it used to be fast long before the pandemic. it's not the case anymore. CR1 its not fast too. estimation around 1.5-2 years the difference just u dont need to file for AOS and get green card immediately. u have to consumate before filing for spouse visa though. ( need to meet in person)

    just wanted to share my EAD filing last year. my old EAD was under C08 ( asylum) and when i applied for EAD under marriage case C09 i asked the same question to my lawyer, because he choose renewal. everyone on visajourney who commented said its Initial and not renewal. my lawyer said he filed 1,000 EAD case like mine and he choose renewal, never an issue. well i did get the EAD and its not issue with the "renewal". hope it help

    dont want to be party pooper but my case also changed after 2 days to "actively reviewed" .......cricket for 19 months before approval. actively reviewed means nothing with uscis

    1-2 weeks roughly. And yes she can travel anywhere she want before her actual green card expired. After it expired she can travel with her extension letter + the expired card
