  1. yeah unfortunately is at the discretion of the consulate. is this the first time he apply for schengen visa? it happened to many people especially if the never step on europe soil in 2016 i applied for 90 days schengen visa multiple entries and they gave it to me and i used 86 days of it. but i wrote extensive itineraries. guess u can ask them if u have solid reason ( in writing)
  2. when im on the "hunt" of lawyers in Boston, i reached out to many non profit organization in Boston. about 30 non profit. some of them have list of lawyers. and some of the lists have same lawyer's name. i cold calls all the lawyers ( around 70), ask if they handle "removal proceeding" ( you can change it to AWA ) and after those calls, more than half of the lists dropped. i tried to find lawyers that gave free consultations because i cant afford to drop $200-300 per initial consultation. the list obviously dropped again, but i did manage to get few lawyers thats willing to do free consultation through zoom or even in person. what im saying is, finding lawyer is like a having a date. u will get better feeling once u talk with some of the lawyers. good luck !
  3. you should submit more evidences thats related to cohabition / live together. traditional wedding, pictures is not as strong as joint bills, joint checking account, joint credit card statement, joint lease, etc that shows both or ur name.
  4. does ur mother's name is listed in ur birth certificate ? if yes, u dont need affidavit letters from family
  5. better get married and later file spouse visa. not good idea to file for K1, because later on have to file AOS. more expensive and time consuming
  6. LOL ! probably why she doesnt mind to give her full name i dont think they are required by law to give their full name. i went to 2 interview, 1 with asylum officer and 1 when i did AOS interview, they just stated their first name. though for last one, i actually asked nicely do u mind to tell me ur full name. but i dont know the etiquette about that matter. really dont want to rock the boat with the IO and piss them off. and both interviews i never attended it with a lawyer
  7. wait until 120 days, after that u can try to write letter to that field office ( cc Field Office Director) sent it by certified mail, maybe u will get response maybe u wont. but worth to try right? and also u can ask ur local congressperson to make an inquiry. note. during my interview i actually asked the IO full name and she gave it to me. i just want to have it "just in case" but during the interview i found out its her last week working with the field office
  8. Tourist visa for her parents is unrelated to ur wife greencard. As long as they have strong ties to their home country, the bigger chance for them to get tourist visa
  9. If the person got 2 years Greencard which is conditional ( before 2 years marriage anniversary ) in the future you will need to remove the condition the GC by filing I-751 instead of renew the green card. N-400 if the person decide to file for citizenship/naturalization in the future ISO / CO = immigration officer who handle the case
  10. When I got a new job, I gave them my SS which is restricted and I have to pair up with EAD. And the approval of EAD is unrelated to the approval of I-485
  11. Correct. my motto is bring everything. Better to have it but don’t need it
  12. You might probably got GC soon. U are not the only one who got “ghosted” after the interview. Many people reported after the interview, the IO said we are gonna approved u no problem and some of them waited 4 years, 8 months ( 2 of my friends happened to experience this and both of them finally got the GC in 2022 )
  13. I use what I called harmonica folder bag with a lot of section. I also I prepped 1 whole package ( all photocopy) with tabs on the side and use jumbo black binder clip to hold it, to give it to the IO and they can pick and choose themself. The tab detail I put it on top of the stack. When I went to the interview I told her, this is the evidences please take whatever you need. She took it all 500 pages.
  14. What did it said exactly on the denial of I-765 ? Is it something about “ we closed the case / got other benefit “ I was wondering if they closed it because u are going to get the GC
  15. they wont do anything until u submit that i-824. do u have the soft copy or hard copy of the i-130 application and check if u made mistake by didnt choose it?
  16. there's plenty online translate...just get their service
  17. Congrats seems like it’s moving kinda at the same time. My friend’s whose timeline I always post on this June 2022 group will get her interview next week. She’s AOS from B1/B2 and not K1
  18. uscis notoriously misplaced application and loose it too. my rule of thumb, provide exactly what RFE asked to the dot. failed to do so might end up in denial and u will loose the fee that you paid. arguing with USCIS is a waste of time because they always win
  19. Verrou

    Tourist Visa

If she can show strong ties with her country, she might able to get it
