  1. Prosecutorial Discretion usually mean the government wont deport them to their home country ( but no guarantee they wont in the future depend on the condition) but they are not "legal" in a way. during Trump administration they abolished that PD. now if memory serve, they most likely still have their ( active or non active or admin closed) in the court. so need to make sure about the status of the EOIR case first before even filing the AOS. shop for lawyers, get 2nd 3rd opinion, best to file for FOIA request aswell because its been 2 decades
  2. ITIN and SSN is not the same. if ur spouse is still overseas and in the process of filing spouse visa. u can apply MARRIED filed separately by paper filing without itin / SSN number
  3. IN yes, doesnt' mean it approved u can check ur case ( assume u have older login account) by LOGIN and add on ur receipt number ( not ur expedite request ticket number ) if officer assign to ur case https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do it will show it there. i heard many people who never made account here, tried to make one, it goes back to my uscis account. i turned out have older account so i can access egov site and can track my expedite request
  4. immigration journey is indeed give u anxiety and PTSD lol. i got used to it and its hard to shake the feeling even after i got 10 years GC in hand
  5. i assume u have 2 years GC. so 90 days before ur expiring date on ur GC u have to file for removal of condition ( i-751) 90 days before ur 3 year anniversary of ur GC date... resident since ( not ur married date, thats unrelated) u can apply for citizenship
  6. u actually can use marriage certificate as legal document to fill ur AOS application with ur married name. since it's already hapened nothing u can do. either pay $540 or wait till citizenship.
  7. definitely possible, file i-90 and pay $540. why did u use ur maiden name when u file AOS? just wondering since u said ur passport already changed to married name before AOS
  8. to apply US visa, flight itinerary is not important and they are not going to ask for it, not like schengen visa anyway. show more strong ties with ur home country ( eg. working in reputable company). 6 months is not given though that's the norm. my cousin got 3 months and she doesnt care because she only want to visit US for 2 weeks anyway. ( she used to study in US prior to that event)
  9. @usmsbow any agencies don’t communicate at all. Some of people’s case stucks when they applied I-485 at the court and case terminated, I-485 never transferred back to USCIS. same thing like my SSN issue. Hence SSA office can’t update my status when I went there yesterday
  10. it's doable, but if just for the sake of comingling evidence, i will find other stronger comingling evidence. feel too much work just to change the title but thats me. my husband never put my name on the title just because i dont want to take few hours leave from work just to go to town hall ( that's where we applied title). but im the one who drive the car 100% . he added my name on car insurance. that's all.
  11. normally ESTA gone forever once ur B2 rejected.
  12. there's a reason i ask the question here too and get better answer. thank you!
  13. i asked same question on Reddit and got roasted. they adamant no matter if u gave list B + list C, as LPR u still need to show the GC because of the alien number? is that correct ?i highlight that u can use list A OR list B+list C and got downvoted 😁 but i always wanna be prepare. my immigration journey never smooth sailing from the beginning, better have umbrella before it rain
  14. i talked with someone who has similar issue. she went to SSA office on 4/5 and she already got her GC last october. same issue. she checked her SAVE and both of us has 3 data pull from SSA office when we looked on the website. all 3 of mine " returned to agency" while hers 2 are "returned to agency" and 1 is "under reviews"
  15. @root_root_user I did check and it said “returned to agency” whatever that means @TedsGirl if you got it without hassle according to @OldUser u must wake up at 5 am, drove for 3 hours and wait in line for 1 hour LOL …jk 😬
  16. 1. yes u can 2. u are the main sponsor ( even though u have no income) ur son will be the joint sponsor ( he need to have qualified incomes enough for that) https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p 3. make sure u file for tax for the past 3 years.
  17. funny haha ! i will wait about 2 weeks from now to go to DMV as @Mike E said. dont want to waste my car's battery LOL
  18. zzzz.....this SSA office is 2 mnts from my office. i literally crawl this morning to go there LOL SS-5 already submitted online, he doesnt even want to take the paper one hah !
  19. it seems i have to find another opponent or target after done with the court and USCIS huh 😅
  20. Sigh… what should I do next ? Wait 4 weeks and if nothing arrived go there again?
  21. i received my GC : 4/8/23. on the card it said resident since 3/31/23. my lawyer didnt apply for SSN because i already had SSN from my asylum case 5 years ago. so the box on -485 was marked NO went to SSA office today on 4/10/23 ( i did online apppointment the day before) to get unrestricted SSN card. before i went to the office i do research and it seems i can just go the moment i got the GC without waiting few days or weeks. also i know there's 2 people whose GC got approved on the same day, already got their unrestricted SSN card by mail a week ago. Bring tons of document but what he wanted to see : Driving license Foreign passport Green card the officer cant update my status. he asked to his colleague " when i input her hometown, it wont let me go through " and his colleague said " probably because her GC date is so recent like 10 days ago ". the officer talked to me and he said sometimes it took a while for USCIS to update the system. he can see my record on the computer, print it out and give it to me to check if any information correct. he then give me a letter with reference number that confirm i did come to the office today and it stated on the letter probably took 4 weeks for me to get the new card because they need to verify with other agency. i asked him if i need to go back, he said no. i'm on a fence to go to DMV tomorrow to update my driving license just in case i have similar issue. i already check on their website and to call my DMV that i dont need to bring my SS card as long as i have the number. does anyone have similar issue? and how long does it take for u to receive unrestricted SSN card after the issue got resolved
  22. Plenty people did combo interview. My friend did that last year in May 2022 in FL. She didn’t bring her husband because he’s in military and was ordered to serve in Korea. She brought his work order to the interview but USCIS checking people wont let her in, she begged and begged. Luckily 1 officer came out and let her in. 15 mnts interview and she’s the last one they brought in for same day oath ceremony. Now different friend went for AOS interview last Feb 2023 in queens, NY, officer asked for wedding picture that she already submitted in initial package. So she didn’t print and bring it to the interview, officer asked so she just show the picture from her phone. She got approved the next day. Photo is not big deal to be honest. Joint cohabition evidences are stronger evidence. hope u got the great news soon
  23. 1. Yes 2. If u have interview, put the interview location / field office 3 same like no 2 4. Does he have the copy of his GC ? My rule of thumb is everytime I got EAD or GC or anything important, I scan it immediately and save it on my Dropbox 5. Moving he need to file AR-11 online and u ask his sponsor also need to file I-865 6. u can only file n-400 3 months after you move
