AOS APPROVED IN SIX MONTHS
Verrou replied to jaliuana's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
started mid 2022, USCIS tend to waived interviews which is never happened prior to 2022. there still people who got interview. i helped my friend filed back in june 2022 and she still need to attend interview in february 2023. this year the trend is even faster. as in USCIS processed it in LIFO ( last in first out) like ur case and waived it. my opinion they want to make big bucks on removal of condition (i-751) thats why they just approved it faster especially for marriage less than 2 years. ( again...not all of them. i just got approved 3 weeks and i got 10 years GC). congrats -
Please help - Reentry permit DENIED!
Verrou replied to C&I's topic in Working & Traveling During US Immigration
it's waste of money to appeal. if CBP bring the denial, just explain to them. highly unlikely u are going to have issue. there's couple of people i knew went outside US for over 2 years, came back with GC that still valid, the CBP person only grumbled a little but then said "welcome back" and let her in like u said, u are going back soon, so just come back soon with ur family. there's no "safer" POE, it really depend which officer you got, not state/city specific. officer might have bad day, good day, who knows- 39 replies

i really think it's double standard when the tourist can visit US without any test, but immigrant cant. when i did medical last year ( inside US), the doctor found out im TB positive based on bloodwork, but im in the clear after chest x-ray. ( latent TB) the things is i've been living in USA for 5 years when they found out 🙄

it doesnt matter because there's nothing the applicant can do even IF they know. electronic can failed to, there were times i heard stories that the CO can't even access the computer ( system down) paper can get lost to, happened to a friend. USCIS wont reveal it to us

i always told people get 3 especially if there's discrepancy on the name. let say the name on the passport is maiden name, while the rest of the document will be in marriage name. u always want to carry when u travel overseas. i only have 1, just because i didnt know at that time i need to have backup. but i didnt change my name either

doubt it though. i know there some people actually left to the US with 10 years GC and never came back but didnt surrender their GC ( dont know the reason why)

Unrestricted SSN card at SSA office after GC in hand
Verrou replied to Verrou's topic in Social Security Numbers
update : this is getting confusing so on the 4/10 after my visited the SSA office, i checked the SAVE case and it showed 3 case number and all said " RETURN TO AGENCY". the time stamps showed it happened when i was in that office. it never changed. i called the local SSA office 3 days straight to find out more. they all said only the officer who i met that day can help me because he's the one who "hold" it ( whatever that means). i left voice message to him but never got call back, one of the person who answered the call said they will sent email to that guy also no response. and the last person who answered said " come to our office on the 24th ( 14 days after i visit) and bring all documents again" yesterday 4/17 ( it's been 11 BUSINESS DAY since my status has changed ) the officer who's in charge for my case called in the afternoon. he said nothing he can do, still waiting for DHS approval for SAVE check. after i hanged up, i check SAVE case again and 1 of the case number ( total 3 number) changed status FROM " RETURNED TO AGENCY" ON 4/10 to "CASE UNDER REVIEW" on 4/17. i think he must pressed something? because the status never changed until that call he made. do i really have to wait 40 days as shown as the status? GRRRRR....i'm pulling my hair now.
