    i never brought my GC ever. i know as an LPR u have to carry it all the time. but if i lost it? 2 years USCIS purgatory, no thanks. it stayed at home locked.

    sorry it happened to you. i understand it can be frustating. but dealing with USCIS, consulate, embassy during immigration journey sometimes arent easy. i learned to just give what they want because we need the visa

    1. That’s when u got ur GC, the rule of thumb for I-131 is for “emergency” travel. 2. Not renewed automatically. The moment u got approved u want to go back to US immediately there’s no such thing as I-131 automatically approved As LPR u need to be in US at least 183 days/year. If u wanna be citizen, u have to adere that rule. If u don’t want to be citizen, then u can stay longer outside US but no more than 1 year

    technically ur parents have to apply for themself. US consulate never really weighed "sponsor" or "invite" too much contrary to what people believed. they just need to show "strong ties" with their home country ( investments + properties)

    i choose the location where i actually work.

    i only carry driving license. not going to carry GC and if i lost it its very costly + probably take years to get the replacement. i scanned the GC and save it on my dropbox/phone your EAD is dead once u got GC, better dont use ur EAD at all

    did u file as joint sponsor? i mean if u dont want to be listed as joint sponsor, i guess u can withdraw ur i-864

    its okay to just use black and white. when they scanned everything will be black and white anyway. i helped people filing i-751 with BW ink and no issue

    boarding pass is a strong evidence, just wait till u got RFE

    first im sorry it happened to you. is she still in hospital now? or she's out of hospital? if she's out, is it possible for her to at least attend the interview? if yes, just come to the interview first
