  1. It happened to many people (including me) . As long as ur lawyer filed in by paper it should be filed properly. USCIS system is obsolete that’s why u can only see part of the scanning. But the agent can see it all
  2. great ! hopefully everything work out. the only reason i know the detail about scanning thing because usps just "lost" my passport 3 weeks ago and combine that knowledge with 2020 incident, thats how i know, the issue will be the forwarding mail option that you already reverted
  3. Filed EAD in May 2020, I thought I will stay in different state temporary, and filed forward mailing with usps ( using my friend’s address) . Ead approved I think July or august 2020. Usps scanned a mail couple of times ( usps tracking ) and when local ( my old address ) post office scan before shipment, it flagged on the system “forwarding mail” that i ordered. The local post master didn’t even try to deliver. Usps will immediately ( or a day later) send it back to USCIS. Because it contained government ID. I called and called and called usps hundred times try to intercept the package ( I’m not in NYC an anymore ) and the last usps person told me, it’s illegal to forward government ID. Notice or receipt is fine but not actual EAD or GC. I reached out to my local congressperson in NYC at that time, request for help and said please help because I can’t work without it and a week after that USCIS resent to other address in NYC ( my friend’s apartment. the second time USCIS / usps send that kind of ID, they will request for signature. My friend wasn’t home so usps hold the mail. I take a picture of my ID and my friend picked it up in the local post office. He showed his ID ( with the correct address for USCIS package ) and brought the copy of my ID. Local post office give the EAD to him. fiuh…never again I will move when waiting for ID like that seems like ur forward mail option is deactivate. Now can u put on hold for the package in ur old / current address with usps online.? I know there’s option for “hold for all package” and u can pick it up in ur old/current place
  4. I had issue in 2020 regarding on card delivery. The best way to solve the issue : 1. Camp out outside the apartment on the day usps deliver the mail or 2. Go to usps website and put all the delivery “on hold” so you can pick it up in the post office 3. Try to cancel ur forwarding mail option. Once usps scanned it it will flag that “ it’s forwarded” and since usps not allow to forward EAD/ GC they will immediately returned the card to USCIS. Happened to me 3 years ago and it’s not pretty to get it back
  5. I will do at least 4 hours layover just because I’m very traditional when it come to flying in general. Too many cancelation and added CBP in the mix, I will do more than 2,5 hours
  6. NY style. Chop chop. Not a big fan of brad though. I just think he can be more patience even by NY standard. Though lately I think JH is getting quicker and cutting people off when the story is long and winding road.
  7. Wish there’s way to reach out to shabaz and let him know that he waited 17 months it’s not out of the normal for removal proceeding case. Mine was 19 months just for I-130 approval and also I know many people preferred to get GC from the judge instead of USCIS but they didn’t know that many immigration court case always postponed and postponed. i rather deal with USCIS then immigration court. I’m glad I didn’t listen to many lawyers to file I-485 with the court
  8. that means u do consular processing for your husband. your husband doesnt need to file i-485 ever. file for i-824. if its approved, ur case will be transferred to NVC after NVC process done, it's embassy time read this : https://www.uscis.gov/i-824
  9. inside US then u follow the instruction. just be aware u cant leave the US while u filed for AOS. if you leave the US without approved advanced parole = ur case is abandon
  10. there's no which one is better. you cant pick and choose i-824 is not the same with i-485. u got confused right now ur i-130 approved but USCIS didnt know where to "transfer" the case because ( i assume) you pick both. u cant pick both. if you make a mistake, then u have to fix the issue with i-824. it will set back your immigration journey quite a bit of time ( for example processing time for texas is 14 months) my question : do you want to file consular processing ( outside US) or adjustment of status (inside US). if you are the beneficiary and u are outside US, then u do consular processing if you are the beneficiary and currently inside US = adjustment of status where are u right now? who is the petitioner and who is the beneficiary?
  11. have you check ur i-130 copy? did you make a mistake and actually fill both of the option instead just choose one? the only way to "fix" the issue is by filing i-864 to correct it
  12. 1. many people reported that even though u are qualify for i-864ez, still best to just use i-864 instead. i actually just filed using i-864 for a friend instead of i-864ez 2. just tax transcript 2022 + her W2 3. i did submitted the US birth certificate still on additional support doc on i-864 just to cover all base 4. i did and submitted it on DS-260 doc
  13. the key is because u "change" first name and middle name. while "changing" last name usually it doesnt considered change if you take ur spouse name. ( maiden to married)
  14. should be okay. can u attach the stamp without showing personal info? does the stamp stated about i-551?
  15. did u change ur name? its very normal, just wait, no need to freak out until 120 days passed
  16. Most likely only I-864. DS 260 u have to fill it out online
  17. Did they start to give AP nowdays ? Thought they only give EAD and put AP in the back burner these days. 8 months she probably will get the GC
  18. That’s why I hate filing online. even when try to fill the document on adobe acrobat and print it out, I always found something not right. to answer ur question, if they caught the mistake and they have question, they will send you RFE. Just stay put. Cant do much right now. It’s not big deal for me ( my opinion)
  19. You do the legroom yourself, u don’t need “consultant” to word / spell check your document. U can do it yourself. Donate that $400 for go fund me or people in need instead. The hardest one is to collect the evidence and not to fill the form. U can ask questions here people are willing to help
  20. what document that you want to bring? since it's government ID, i will also make police report.
  21. on the section does your beneficiary have children...obviously you have to list all your fiancee's children the question is "does your beneficiary have children" later on for DS-160 u can just file for your fiancee
  22. yes...thats what USCIS called here "civil surgeon:
  23. i guess it's the same with finding job in her home country. apply and hopefully got interview and get hired. where i live right now, everybody seems working in medical : CNA. nurse, doctor etc because our state is the most highest median age in the US ( a lot of old people). it's very difficult for me to find the job that suits my past experience ( white collar job) due to the fact the job here mostly blue collar job. i think where you reside & whatever job market available also probably give u a challenge as well. you wont know until she come to the US and try herself. entry level job etc, it really depend on how flexible she wants to
  24. 3 years ago i did MMR varicella titer and the result is i'm immune for that. i used that result test ( im immune to those) and give it to my civil surgeon last year so i dont need to redo / get vaccine for MMR varicella. the rest i already have complete series long before i did the medical, so same like the titter test, i just send all my records to the civil surgeon
