  1. Hi there, I have another question! Do you recommend that I attach my employment contract as proof that I was overseas because of it? With the relocation of my husband as well. As a proof that we lived together overseas.
  2. Thanks so much for your advice! It gives me relief. I think too much information will play against me, and keeping it short and concise is better
  3. Hello everyone, I'm currently completing Form I-751 to remove the conditions on my residence, and I find myself in a unique situation where I need some guidance please. After receiving my green card in 2023, I was offered an amazing opportunity to work with an American humanitarian organization overseas to support the Ukraine crisis. As a result, I lived in Europe for one year with my husband (US citizen). Now, regarding question 22 of the form: "Have you resided at any other address since you became a permanent resident?" - I need to answer "YES" and "provide a list of all addresses where I have resided since becoming a permanent resident, along with the dates, in Part 11, Additional Information". My question is: Should I include an explanation about why I was living in Europe, such as my employment and the fact that my husband was with me? or just the address and that's it? Part 11 doesn’t have enough space for a detailed explanation. Should I attach an additional sheet to clarify my situation? Or will I just make it more complicated? I had obtained an approved I-131 Travel Authorization knowing I would be overseas for more than six months. Should I mention this as part of my explanation to avoid any issues with USCIS in the added sheet? Any advice on how to present this information clearly in my application would be greatly appreciated. I want to ensure everything is accurate and avoid any complications in my case with USCIS. Thank you in advance for your help!
  4. Hi everyone, and thanks in advance for your kind help! I'm an LPR (marriage-based, conditional for 2 years, approved in March 2023). I've been outside the U.S. for long periods due to work (for a U.S. company) since February 2023, so I applied for the re-entry permit (I-131). I left the US in Feb 2023, returned for 1 month in July for the I-131, and left again. I re-entered in May 2024 (no questions asked by CBP, and I didn’t have my I-131 approved yet), left in June 2024 again, and re-entered in August 2024 to the US. Because of a bad car accident that I had while overseas working now I want to spend time with my family in my home country, I really need to see them... I'm planning from November to early January (2 months exactly). I plan to return within the 90-day window to start my green card renewal. Do you think it’s too risky to leave again in Nov? Will I have trouble re-entering? I bought my ticket feeling confident because CBP didn’t question me at all during my last two re-entries (May and August). My re-entry permit was approved in August and it was sent to the U.S. embassy in Hungary (my duty station in 2023). I emailed them to confirm if they’ve received it - no response yet... If I manage to pick up the document, do you think I’ll have any issues re-entering? I wasn’t planning to go to Hungary, my family live in Spain, but I’ll go if necessary. Thanks again.
  5. Hello friends! First, I just wanted to thanks in advance to this lovely community 💜 A little about my status: I am currently working abroad since Feb 2023 until Feb 2024 as a deployed delegate for an US company. I'm permanent resident (conditional, based marriage) since March this year. I got it while overseas. My issue!: I'll be back to the USA next week, and will stay there for 5-6 weeks (until biometrics) to apply for the reentry permit but was hoping someone could provide advice if that is necessary because I will only be abroad for 11 months (as LPR) when my work contract ends, should I still apply for reentry? I asked USCIS agent and told me that estimated processing times is 17 months, so I'm worried 😕 maybe I can extend my contract but definitely not enough to cover all the months, and, overall, I have a conditional LPR, 2 years, so I have to be back before March 2025... If I decide to return to the USA, let's say in March - April 2024, with a pending reentry application, would I be ok? Thanks in advance! Michelle
