What Really Gives Left-Handed Pitchers Their Edge?
By Guy Molyneux and Phil Birnbaum

Left-handed pitching has long been one of the most prized commodities in professional baseball. Teams strive to obtain lefty pitchers, and southpaws recognize their competitive edge. Two-sport athlete Tom Glavine explained his career choice this way: “I love both sports, but the deciding factor was, being a left-handed pitcher, I had a huge advantage in baseball because of that, and I didn’t have that type of advantage in hockey.” Even a century ago, Tris Speaker expressed the sport’s reverence for southpaws — if falling short as a trade analyst — when he reportedly opined that “taking the best left-handed pitcher in baseball and converting him into a right fielder is one of the dumbest things I ever heard.”1

    Worthy thoughts, I think.  Comments?

    Thoughts,

Ms Zelikovsky acknowledges that her credentials in offering this diagnosis is limited to her experience with her father and offers scant proof that Joe Biden has the same symptoms as her father.

There are 10 or more types of dementia with Alzheimer's being more than 50% of the dementia population, she doesn't say what type her father has.

She doesn't claim to have met Joe Biden in person and would not have the clinical background to perform and evaluation if asked. She claims the symptoms observed :

    "confusion, aphasia, and incoherence"

How do you measure that? In what context are you evaluating the man?

It is not impossible that the disease is present, no evidence has been put forth. Based on the articles posted on American Thinker by Ms Zelikovsky, the evidence seems to be she doesn't want Democrats to succeed for multiple reasons and may be projecting her personal tragic experience.

She is unqualified to offer a diagnosis.

I have put a lemon in the cavity of the chicken also! So moist and delicious! I have also added along with the lemon, a quartered onions and cloves of garlic

I puncture the lemon and microwave it for 90 seconds. I have added rosemary, garlic is something next. I have the chicken uncovered in the fridge overnight to dry the skin out, that and olive oil really help deliver crispy skin.

I do this too, but I also smear the inside of the cavity with a butter-tarragon combination along with the lemon. It''s a recipe my former mother-in-law had me perfect in her quest to make me worthy of her son -- I failed that test but I did learn how to roast the chicken!  This was the recipe: https://www.deliaonline.com/recipes/type-of-dish/sunday-roast/fast-roast-chicken-with-lemon-and-tarragon

Exes are a dime a dozen, being able to roast a chicken, that is a gift.

We have been working on perfecting pizzas together. My fiance came into this relationship as a man who literally could not make a sandwich. His mother shooed him away from the kitchen (not that she's particularly able either), when he was single he lived on microwave ready meals and takeaways, and then in his first marriage his wife didn't let him lift a finger. I am a decent cook, and I have been determined to help him be a little more self-sufficient. So every week we make pizzas together from scratch. :) I do a 48 hour rise on the dough, and when we assemble for baking, I make one and he makes the other. Mine are usually pretty circular or at least oblong -- his are... amoeba-shaped. But still delicious.

I've also been making a lot of ramen recently. Not like Top Ramen, but using interesting noodles, like jade pearl rice or Forbidden rice noodles, or soba. Here's one I made the other day -- jade pearl rice noodles, chicken broth, sliced cooked chicken breast, spinach, bok choy and a (very) soft boiled egg, topped with sliced spring onions, cracked black pepper and toasted panko crumbs. I squeezed a little lime in it.

Also really nice with a little slug of sesame chili oil. The egg cooks further in the hot broth. So delicious.

    Looking good!

Check out Ivan Ramen on chef's table Netflix : Jewish boy from Long Island  doesn't fit in until he travels to Tokyo, finds love and purpose in making scratch Ramen (Mills his own barley for the noodles)

The iconic blue Kraft boxes are getting a facelift — and you're getting the brand's unwavering support to eat their famous pasta dish for breakfast, or really any time you want. But officially, the word breakfast will now replace dinner. So if you want to feed your kids pasta before 8 a.m., you're in the clear.

Personal opinion, the border won't be back to normal-ish until next spring...

I'm planning to go for a few months this fall.  Apartment ready for my quarantine, only need to set up the internet again.

Will be harder over the Holidays. Blah.

I can work remotely from anywhere, so isolation isn't a huge deal. My wife needs to be on-site for work so they are isolation means 10 days on the Washington side and 14 days on the BC side, 24 days without being available to work. Her employer won't give her the time off.

    WE VIDEOTAPED OUR ENTIRE PROCEEDING!

Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on so many, in so many ways.

For those who are getting their citizenship under Covid-19 restrictions, and your significant others and loved ones cannot attend, here is a thought based on our experience:

We had my citizenship ceremony in March, at the next-to-last scheduled ceremony before the Covid-19 shutdown.

At the ceremony we took video cameras and videotaped EVERYTHING...from START TO FINISH.

Spouse even used a tripod and took a position at the front of the room - yet out of the way of others...and shot the entire ceremony!

Spouse sat right next to the Consular Officers. One even remarked - "We should hire you", to my spouse.

It is great to have captured it. We will cherish the video always.

So, maybe you can do something similar.

Just check with your USCIS Office (beforehand and on the day), to make sure they are okay with it.

At least then, you have something to share with all the people who might not be allowed in, and for those who are far away and would'nt have made it anyway.

    And CONGRATULATIONS!

It was, and still is, a great feeling...to be DONE!

    Best regards to everyone!

    Suze1 & Spouse

Video or it never happened 😂!

  9. Even if the foreign national is coming to Canada to witness the birth of their first-born child, they still have to demonstrate that they have a plan to isolate themselves for the 14-day quarantine requirement for most in-coming travellers, otherwise, they may be denied entry. If the foreign national was a grandparent of that newborn baby, their reason for travel would not be considered “essential.”

I think this will end after the USA elections. I do not bet, but remember my words Covid will disappear on November 4th :D they need to play covid card... if they lose elections this card is useless 😂 my guess is that no interviews before November 3rd! We are almost there ladies and gentlemen! 😍 btw Canadians can fly to USA right? Just not land border.

What are you trying to say?

  10. I am unsure where this goes.

Canada and the U.S. have agreed to extend current land border restrictions until Sept. 21, top border officials said Friday.

"We will continue to do what’s necessary to keep our communities safe," Public Safety Minister Bill Blair tweeted of the countries' "reciprocal restrictions" designed to help fight the spread of Covid-19

How is this going to affect the legal immigrants here, specifically those that need to renew their green cards or remove the condition on their green card (this is my case)?

Green card holders cannot be kicked out right? Unless it is ordered by an immigration judge. What is the scenario if my application to remove condition isn't processed? Do I need to get the stamp to keep extending it until 10-year GC is granted?

There was a lot of concern on your issue during the last government shutdown with the AOS delayed. There must be someone here who can relate how the delay worked.
