For your flight to the US, do NOT check-in online.  This is to prevent your ESTA from getting automatically cancelled.

These reminders are from the embassy in the UK, but they also apply to those who are traveling with ESTA from other European countries covered by the travel ban proclamation --

    • Do not attempt to check in for your flight online if you have an ESTA registration.
    • Arrive early for your flight.
    • Carry any documentation that you believe demonstrates why you have been excepted from a travel restriction, such as a Permanent Resident card (commonly known as a Green Card), a marriage certificate, or a birth certificate, so that it is available if it is requested for review.
    • You may also wish to carry a copy of the Presidential Proclamation itself.
    • Your status will be reviewed in consultation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.
    • If applicable in your case, your ESTA will be reinstated in order to allow you to board. Finally, please note that the U.S. Embassy cannot provide an official letter stating that you are excepted from a travel restriction.

    Good to know, thanks!!
I will be flying with KLM through Amsterdam, where I change flight to LAX, so probably my departure airport in Sweden will be the ones who check me all the way, as usual..

  2. Hi friends!
Does anyone know if it’s possible to travel to USA after you’ve got the first NOA? (about that Nebraska service center are reviewing and have received the payment)

I really need to go in December to arrange things with our car and lease. Also, we both live in Sweden now and I’m the beneficiary! My partner (American Citizen) has no possibility to go with me because of her work, so I need to go by myself.

    Anyone who knows???
    Thanks 🙏🏼

Yes for the photos, this is what we did, a regular scan of fronts and backs (including signature), one PDF page / file per person.

You still have the ability to upload one if you wish in the upload section, although it's not required.

We did not upload a cover letter and I would say it depends on what you already uploaded. We had bank statements, phone and electricity bills...we were confident enough we did not have to explain or prove anything.

    Hope that helps!

    It helps a lot, thanks!

We have car insurance, joint bank account in the US. Here in Sweden, where we live now, we have my house rental and home insurance with both of us on it.

I might have more question later on and really appreciate your help!

You don't need this form when applying online, there will be a payment page where you can use your credit card (we used our Canadian one).

For photos, a PDF file is good, this is the format we used for all the documents we provided.

    Good luck !

    Many thanks!
So for the photos, the actually size requested, you scanned both sides (back with your signature) into one (1) document?

One more (perhaps dumb) question; Cover letter won’t be necessary when you file online?
