  1. My wife got the 1st and 2nd dose of the Pfizer vaccine but she did not get any booster. Is the booster absolutely required? Is there any documentation stating that the booster is required?
  2. How much is it and where or when do you pay it? My wife's country is in a currency and economic crisis and debit/credit cards have daily limits, I just want to make sure she is able to pay it without issues. If it's payable online, I'd like to go ahead and pay it.
  3. I have one more question. I've paid the NVC AOS $120 fee and the $325 IV Fee. I will be paying the medical exam fee soon. Are there any more fees to pay from the the medical exam to the day she arrive in the US? It was really clearly from the State department instructions.
  4. Okay, I will have a "main" folder with only the Consulate requested documents and another folder with backup information. Just to verify, you are saying none of these documents need to be printed in color right?
  5. We are preparing for the interview soon and we had a few questions. We are planning to take everything we submitted to USCIS and NVC, originals and photocopies of everything. My wife will probably take about 2 large tabbed folders worth of documents. I'm expecting about 100+ pages categorized in the folder. 1) Do these documents need to be printed in color? The specific documents are: I-864EZ DS-260 confirmation page Interview Letter email Photo Album COVID Vaccine Certificate IRS Tax Transcripts W2 1 Year of Paystubs Photocopy of Biometric page on Passport Marriage Certificate Police Clearance Certificate Birth Certificate with English Translation 6 Passport Photos
  6. We are about to have the interview (next month), I'm the petitioner and I haven't filed the taxes for 2022 yet. I'm hoping if everything goes well, she will be here by end of next month and we can easily file the taxes together online for 2022. Is this OK? 2021 was a mess because I was filing MFS and I had to print and mail it, it took 6 months for IRS to even accept it.
  7. Sri Lanka, Colombo Consulate, DQ 12/28, Interview Letter received on 02/09 for March. Consulate does not seem to have a backlog.
  8. Should I reply back to the Consulate stating that NVC is waiting for available interview dates from the Consulate? What do you recommend to do?
  9. We got DQed on 12/28/2022. I called the Colombo US embassy and they said they have no CR1 backlog. They said NVC usually transfers the cases to them based on the date they were DQed and we will receive the Interview Letter before they even receive the case files. They said to email the NVC for any additional questions. Based on this, it looks like NVC still hasn't transferred the case files. Should I email the NVC or wait? Next week, it will be about 1 month since we were DQed. If I'm emailing the NVC, is there any specific format? Should I use their email address (NVCinquiry@state.gov) or the public inquire form?
  10. For the Consulate Interview, I've read that my wife (beneficiary) needs to take the original or certified copies. Does she need to take my (petitioner) documents too? For an example, the I-130 and NVC documents I submitted includes the following documents related to me: My Bahamas immigration card (we got married in Bahamas) My US naturalization certificate My Bahamas Ferry Ticket Scanned I-864EZ Do I need to mail my wife the above?
  11. This is great news. We should start an interview letter thread also for December DQed people.
  12. Documentarily Qualified. It is when NVC accepts all the documents submitted and starts the next step of scheduling the interview with the Embassy.
  13. We have been DQed and are waiting for the interview letter. For the CR1, what are the waiting times like for the Colombo US Embassy? When do you think they will give the interview?
  14. I got 2 emails yesterday at same time (1 was saying DQed, other saying status update). The Message Center says DQed. However, the I-864 status says INCOMPLETE and when I click it, it shows an application error and logs me out. Am I DQed or not?
  15. New Updated.....I got both emails at the same time, DQ.
  16. Resume. I don't want to cancel (I didn't cancel).
  17. I hope typing the date is ok. Even the instructions are vague...it simply says sign and date the form and that typewritten or stamped signature will not be accepted. It doesn't mention anything about the date other than "sign and date". According to this,https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/visas-news-archive/20161228_ink-signature-no-longer-required-on-affidavits-of-support.html Only the signature must be typewritten...so why are they issuing RFE's?
  18. Did you handwrite your signature??? Can't you download the existing document and see if you hand signed the signature?
  19. Did anyone else fill the date using the PDF form (not handwriting) and then get approved?
  20. Please add me to the list too. Submitted on 11/23.
  21. After submitting the documents to NVC, how do I know what status it is? The website is confusing. Below are the statuses it is showing me: Affidavit of Support Fee: Paid Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence: SUBMITTED IV Application: COMPLETED Civil Documents: SUBMITTED I guess what I'm asking is, is everything done from my side and I'm just waiting for NVC?
