I finally got a new appointment notice for biometrics today. Its for AOS and EAD only, not for AP, but at this point who cares?
My AOS timeline:
Feb 22 applications sent
Feb 24 received
Mar 31 biometrics scheduled in Atlanta, GA, but by that time everything was long closed down due to COVID of course
July 13 ASC Atlanta reopened
Aug 11 new biometrics appointment
At this time my case status on the USCIS website still just says fingerprint fee received/ case received
I hope this gives some of you some hope to also get your new appointments soon. And fingers crossed they are not going to shut down again before every single one of us got their fingerprints taken!
They use Biometrics for all applications

Just got our interview appointment in the mail today for the end of August! Strangely, my EAD/AP status is still stuck at "fingerprints taken" since March 😕 not sure what to think about that but hopefully we are close to the finish line.
congratulations
hope I get mine soon.

Did it come on its own in the mail? From checking the box on your original EAD application?
Or did you have to apply with SSA for a ssn?
It's been almost 4 weeks since we got approved, but still no ssn. We have the EAD card, but it's almost useless without an actual ssn.
I got it from the original application.
wait couple of weeks after RECEIVING your card if you didn't get it call SSA.
By the way I called the SSA After receiving the card and they said that USCIS didn't apply to me for an SSN. And I still received it after 2 weeks.

My Combo card arrived today yayyyy.
Based on approval date of 06/25.
congrats. waiting time now is 3 weeks from approval date. If you don't have SSN I suggest you give them a call.

I called the SSA today and they said that USCIS didn't send them my information for SSN. So I have to wait for an in person interview to get my SSN. it's another 90-120 days cause they are backlogged.

Sorry if I am asking so many questions. How did you get the SSN without the other these other things approved? Is that a separate application? We were thinking the SSN was part of this whole processs. Yikes!
I didn't get the SSN yet. I applied for it in the application, So I am waiting just like you.

Question -- So now do you still need to wait for a SSN? Or is the EAD the magic ticket to working?
Well You can start applying, but you won't get paid without SSN. I just received my card today and waiting for my SSN. Hope it comes soon. some people it took days and others took weeks.

Hello, does anyone know which banks allow you open a new account WITHOUT a social security number?
I opened an account in Wells Fargo with no SSN. And I recommend that you apply for their secured credit card, it will help you build credit while waiting for your SSN.

Give it one more week. mine was ordered on 23 June and mailed on 13 July. Just be patient.

I got approved last week for ead and ap and did not do biometrics as it was scheduled the day after all offices closed due to covid. I do not have a card yet but approval notices have been sent out.
If you had your bio metrics, you will get the card.
