Our Story
Joan and I met a little over 2 years ago in a general Yahoo chat room. I was debating politics with a couple of people when out of nowhere I heard this faint voice singing the Beatles song "Yesterday". I thought to myself whoever would sing a Beatles song in the middle of all of that intense political talk and other sorts of babble, has got to be cool. So I looked at her profile. It contained very little info. I wrote her and told her I thought she was cool for doing such a thing. She said thanks and requested to be added to my messenger list. I added her and we corresponded on a very low key level for a long while. Then about 8 months ago I got a message early one morning, it was Joan she had just had her heart broken by some clown and was trying to make sense of it all. I did the best I could to help. In the midst of all that I realized what a special person she was. So I decided to let her know. I wanted her to be aware of my adoration so I wouldn't fall into the infamous friend trap. LOL. Turns out she was impressed by me too. Not so much in the first part of our limited correspondence. She thought I looked like a playboy (LOL) so she was wary of me but once I proved that I was genuine, she was willing to give it a try.
It seemed we fell further in love in each subsequent convo. So in mid April I flew to the Philippines and we spent 6 glorious days together having the time of our lives. We spent every waking moment together. It was paradise realized. My only regret of the whole trip is that I didn't book it for longer. The company I work for doesnt provide paid vacations. So I had to get back to work and keep my income flowing.
So here we are beginning the long journey back to one another.
