Amos and I first met November 2008 while working together as contractor civilians in Iraq supporting the U.S. military troops during Desert Storm. Our love quickly blossomed and our relationship deepened. After 9 months in the southern part of Iraq, I was transferred to Baghdad but Amos and I promised to keep in touch. In 2009 I returned to the U.S. and the distance between Amos and I took its toll. In 2010 I took an overseas assignment to Doha, Qatar and though Amos was still in Iraq we kept in touch off and on. At the end of 2010 I again returned to the U.S. and communication with Amos was sparse but through all of this we still loved one another, we just seemed to be on different life paths at the time. In 2011 I took yet another overseas assignment this time to Kuwait. Amos also took an overseas assignment but to Qatar. Neither of us had been in contact like we had been before, so it wasn't until Amos looked me up while I was stationed in Kuwait that we realized we were a little bit closer. However, we still didn't hook up like we hoped we would but we continued to love one another. In 2012 I returned to the U.S. and thought that I'd never hear from Amos again, but yet I kept his love in my heart. By 2015 I had settled down into a work routine state side when out of the blue I received a call from a number in Istanbul, Turkey and guess who it turned out to be, none other than Amos, my soulmate. We still didn't connect like we wanted because things just weren't where they should have been, so we kept in touch off and on. Then in 2019 while cleaning house one day thoughts of Amos crossed my mind and I wondered where he was in the world, what was he doing, had he moved on with life and married someone else. So I decided to see if I could find him through Facebook, and lo and behold I did. When I reached out to him, he was so excited because he had been looking for me too and hadn't been able to track me down. Well long story to say that we've finally re-connected; and this time the love, our connection it's all right. We know realize that the 11 year time span that passed between us was meant to be and that now is the season we were meant to come back together. Our love is still just as strong as it was the very first time we met on that hot summer day in 2008 back in Iraq. We've always know our love was meant to be and that our lives were meant to be shared together as husband and wife. I can still remember back in 2008 when Amos asked me to marry him but I was unsure, and afraid because of my previously failed marriage to a U.S. husband of 15 yrs. But this time, things for Amos and I are right and this time when he asked me to marry him I didn't hesitate because I know that he is the one designed just for me.
