I think you don’t have to wait 5 year. Vawa green card holders are qualified for citizenship after 3 years and you can marry once you get your citizenship after 3 years. Remember sending your citizenship application 2 years and 9 months after getting your green card

How many months after responding to a RFE should I make an inquiry for OUTSIDE NORMAL PROCESSING TIME?

Does it mean i601 is no more required to waive whatever fraud or misrepresentation ou unlawful presence ? If they return it, what happen to the i485 pending ?

The lawyer prepared my i601 waiver and submitted it as requested by my local office. But USCIS Vermont returned the application with a blue letter saying « Your application or petition is not needed at this time ». Can my LAWYER RETURN MY MONEY OR HALF OF IT ? or not?

Hello guys, So after submitting i601 waiver and received this blue paper with my package returned saying they don’t need it at this time. I sent it to my local office. Anyone else ever received this blue paper? I SUSPECT THERE IS A CONFLICT OF INTEREST BETWEEN THE local uscis officer and the VERMONT USCIS OFFICER. As a reminder: Officer at local office gave me 204c fraud on I130 but OFFICER AT VERMONT approved my I360 after a NOID. Same officer at local OFFICE did my I485 interview and gave me RFE I601 waiver for something that was already addressed in I360 NOID. I sent I601 waiver application, I suspect that my application was handled by the same officer who approved my I360. Apparently this officer realized that the I601 issue was already addressed in the NOID I360 and returned the whole package with the uncashed check with THIS BLUE PAPER SAYING THEY DONT NEED THIS I601 at this moment. It’s like the I360 (i601) uscis officer In VERMONT is telling the local office officer that he cannot process this I601 waiver because the issue was already addressed to him and wants the local officer to approve the I485 without a I601 waiver as it’s not needed. AM I RIGHT?

Hello VJ family, After my I485 interview, I received a REF asking for a I601 waiver because I entered the USA as single while I was married back home. This issue was already addressed when I RECEIVED NOID before my i360 got approved. I sent the i601 and it got returned accompanied by this blue paper saying they don’t need it at this time. I’m confused how UScis is confusing itself. What does it mean?

Hello guys, today my I601 waiver package got returned by USCIS again . With a letter saying that they don’t need it at this point. What does it mean? My local office asked me for I601 after i485 interview. Sent i601 to Vermont and Vermont returned it first and told us to send it to Texas and today got a letter from Vermont again saying they don’t need a i601 at this point and didn’t cash the check. What does it mean?

Hello VJ family. i am just desperate now. I received a RFE after my i485 interview and the RFE was to file a waiver I-601 and after receiving the i601 receipt notice , I should mail that receipt to the local office and the IO will take a final decision on my I485. But my lawyer sent my i601 waiver to Vermont. And Vermont returned it saying my i485 case number start with SRC and advised us to send it to TEXAS instead. My lawyer sent it to Texas on the 15 December and till now USCIS hasn’t cashed my check and no receipt notice. since the RFE Grace period was expiring on January 7, my lawyer sent a copy of I601 and a letter to my local office explaining that we haven’t received the i601 receipt notice yet. The Texas uscis zip code is 75266 but the i601 was delivered, it went to zip code 75260. After some research it looks like uscis has private zip code 75260. All packages sent to zip code 75266 get transferred to to the actual P.O. Box of uscis having 75260 as zip code. until now , uscis hasn’t cashed my check for i601 and the IO hasn’t made a decision on my i485 with the copy of I 601 that we sent as RFE. She sent it to Texas because, Vermont stamped an address on top because my receipt number starts with SRC. So in this case , I make another check and copy of original i601 and send it to my local office with a letter explaining that we haven’t received a receipt number from Texas as per uscis vermont direction?

Hello VJ family, I need help. My local office is awaiting for the i-601 waiver receipt notice for them to make a final decision on my green card. My lawyer sent the I-601 waiver package to Vermont office on November 7, the package got returned that it went to a wrong address and sent to Dallas Tx office on the 14 of December. Until now, my check hasn’t been cashed by USCIS yet for me to receive a receipt notice to send to my local office. Now in just a WEEK TIME my 60 days RFE extension will be up. What should I do?

Hello VJ family, how much is to renew a EAD? i sent my i-601 waiver last month on November 7 as RFE so that uscis can make a final decision on my green card. But uscis hasn’t cashed the check I sent with my waiver application yet. I thought maybe I’ll get my green card faster but they’ll make a decision only if I send them a i601 receipt. I’m thinking of renewing my EAD because the current one expire in February 2023 and also I may not have have a green card by that time of February 2023

They have not cashed it because if they cash it, I will see it on my transaction history

I paid with my check yes, it still doesn’t show on my bank statement yet. Thank you, will keep an eye on that

My RFE says « file form i-601 waiver with the appropriate office and pay the appropriate fee; and after receiving a receipt notice, immediately send the receipt notice together with the RFE letter to the local office so that a final decision can be made on your case » looks like it’s the same officer who interviewed me for i-485 who will make the decision on both i-485 and i-601 because he will be able to see the file in the system

Anyone knows how long it takes to receive a i-601 receipt notice after filing ? I sent the package since November 9th, I’m waiting for that receipt notice to send it to my local office for final decision of my i-485
