My I485 got denied because I didn’t properly file I601 waiver. File motion to reconsider I290B and receive RFE to file another I601. I file I601 and sent the receipt notice to the local office as instructed in the RFE. Now, waiting for a decision on I290B, I485 and I601 at the same time. Same officer will make a decision on all these 3 cases at the local office. Now , my EAD IS expiring in February 2024, should I send a renewal EAD or wait maybe my I485 will be approved before February? I don’t want to send them a check for EAD and MY GREEN CARD get approved, I will just lose my money. Any advice?

The name is correct, she doesn’t have to return the card. There should a coma after Jane right? Mine is like that too on my EAD That

Just an update, the receipt number for my i601 waiver came to my attorney. She has just mailed it the local office with a copy of RFE of my I290B as mentioned in the RFE itself. Praying for my I485 to be approved finally 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Hello guys, finally i601 waiver check is cashed this morning after 22 days . Finally I’ll receive a receipt notice to send to my local office so that the officer can make a decision on my I290B and I601 and subsequently my I485 that was denied because my attorney errors. She sent the I 601 to a wrong address first , resent it to the correct address with no RFE copy in it and the i601 waiver was returned again with a notice saying “your application/petition is not needed at this time “ which resulted in my I485 being denied. Now finally, I hope I’ll be approved now 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

The RFE said after getting a receipt notice from i601 , submit it together with a copy of RFE to the local office and the officer will then make a decision on both i290b and I601. since my i485 receipt number starts with SRC I mailed it to Dallas Tx, then it will be sent to Vermont to issue a recept notice. Praying for the receipt notice , that’s what I want. Waiting for them to cash my check 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I have until 25 September so it means 87 days, oh ok let me wait

It was sent back wrong address and we submitted it and it was sent back again with a notice saying “this application or petition it needed at this time” we submitted that to the local office but my i485 was denied saying I didn’t properly file i601. Filed a motion to continue and got RFE for i601 and submit only the receipt notice to the local office, filed i601 on the 11th and waiting. Just don’t know if uscis will cash the check or send the application back , I don’t know. I suspected when the lawyer sent it for the second time, it was returned because she didn’t include the RFE notice. This time I made sure the receipt notice is included before we sent it. 2 weeks now the check hasn’t been cashed, nervous of the application will be returned again, but praying it doesn’t happen

It’s has been 2 weeks since my lawyer sent my second i601 waiver and USCIS hasn’t cashed my check yet. Can I send another package of i601 privately to uscis? Just to be on the safe side. I am nervous because the first i601 I filed as RFE to my i485 was returned as not needed and my i485 was denied. Now this is another i601 waiver sent as RFE to the motion to reopen i290b and uscis has not cashed the check after two weeks and I am worried if it will be returned again 🥲🥲🥲🥲

I dit that the first time and the officer denied my i485. Later, uscis return my package saying in a letter that « application not need » He wants nothing but the recei pt notice. I filed i290b, and he sent a RFE requesting to file a i601 waiver again and send him the receipt notice only

Hello vj family. I sent another package of i601 waiver to Dallas as per USCIS website since my receipt number starts with SRC. it was delivered on July 11. A week now my check has not yet been cashed. How long does it take for USCIS to cash a check?

I am considering mailing it myself yes. If the lawyer ask me for money again I’ll do it myself. I have the old package, I’ll just update some proofs that needed to change dates

Or sue USCIS in court. Because it is like two uscis agencies playing games with me. The local office want i601 while the uscis i601 office says my case don’t need a waiver

I believe it was rejected first time because my lawyer didn’t include the RFE notice in the package. She defended herself, but I know the mistake was hers

That’s a big issue there, if they reject it , I’ll do an infopass to uscis i601 office , make a trip there and explain my situation. I know it’s gonna be an out of state trip. Because the officer at local office want a receipt notice only if i601 or he will deny me again

Hello family, after going for infopass appointment last Tuesday, Wednesday uscis mailed a RFE on my I290B motion to reconsider, delivered today and gave me another chance to refile the I-601 waiver. So that they can make a decision on both i290b and i485. This time I’ll make sure I check the package before the lawyer sends it.

The officer will just ask you for the zip code and provide you with a code for infopass. And you will automatically receive an email with a link to print out your infopass appointment

I called the uscis number and spoke to someone. She asked me few questions about my case and I told her I want an infopass to explain my situation. She put me on a callback list and told me that an immigration officer will reach out to me in 30 days to schedule the infopass, but 4 hours after the same day, I received a call from the officer and schedule my appointment for the following day

Hello everyone, Remember my i485 was denied because the officer said I didn’t properly file the waiver and didn’t submit the i601 receipt notice with a receipt number on it as per RFE. The fact is that I submitted the i601 waiver package and it got returned with a notice saying « your application /petition is being returned as it is not needed at this moment », I sent that notice to the local office but apparently the officer ignored it or didn’t receive it while making decision on my petition . I submit a motion to reconsider last April, and yesterday I decided to go to the local office with an INFOPASS appointment to explain my situation. The supervisor came, I explained to her the situation and she took the proofs of the notice from uscis saying my application was returned and don’t need a waiver and proof of mailing it to the officer. She went inside and after 15min she came out and told me they have assigned my case to an officer for review, hoping I get approved now🙏🏾.

Hello VJ family, I sent i290B motion to reconsider to Chicago FOR my denied i485 and now I see there is a mail from NBC on the way from USPS notification. Does i290 receipt notice come from NBC? I’m not home, so I’m curious to understand if it’s normal that i290b receipt notice come from NBC LEES SUMMIT MISSOURI

If the page does not say include a copy of rfe, why do you think the package was returned?

What do you mean? Do you mean she was right not including the rfe in the i601 package since the page does not say so?
