Hello, my fiancé is from the DR as well. The passport has been taking long for everyone so it isn’t just a one off thing. The official estimate is 2 weeks but it can be anywhere from 2-5 weeks. Calling won’t do much cause it’s just about them issuing the visa at this point but it’s good to maintain contact at least 1 or 2 times a week just to see if there are any updates. Only thing you can do is check your car daily and see if it updates to Issued

Hello. It’s only been a week so I’m sure you’re fine. Processing usually takes longer than that -
Welcome and Congratulations on your approval! This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy. A few helpful NVC links: NVC phone number is (603)334-0888 🚨 Please note: They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone! 🚨 They are answering through the below emails : ➡️ NVCinquiry@state.gov ⬅️ OR ➡️ NVCResearch@state.gov ⬅️ Once you’ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV If you need to submit an inquiry, change an address , or need to update your info in anyway NVC also has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as other requests: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html Also, inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way. These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been very helpfully put together by senior VJ Member Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read these first as these are the most asked questions. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. A FB group has created a shipping chart for 2023 that you can use to track when the next shipment date will be. It seems to line up with all the dates I’ve seen so far so I think it’s accurate and will include it below.

Hello. My embassy is Dominican Republic too . You cannot pay your visa fee if your case is not in the Dominican Republic embassy. It will give you an error message because it is not in their system yet. And you DEFINITELY cannot pay the fee unless you have your NVC case number. You need that number in order to pay the fee (the form will ask you for it) and your case also needs to have been forwarded to the embassy for processing . Wow. I know it can take upwards of 90 days at NVC but in some cases apparently in can go over. Thank you for sharing that
-
That is not quite right. I don’t think your petition will go on any of those dates. You just got approved and it takes 30 days just for nvc to receive your case ( sometimes even longer) , then they will enter it into their system and assign a case number. Once you have that case number assigned, then you can begin to look at that calendar and figure out when it may be shipped next

In any case, they are sent every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so if anyone has an accurate shipping chart, please feel free to share it below!

Nvc can give conflicting information regarding next steps for DR so I would take what they say with a grain of salt. But Jamie is right, the embassy requests cases every two weeks on Tuesday and Wednesday and you should be on the lookout those days to see if your case is in the next batch that gets sent. And no, the embassy will not send you any correspondence regarding any next steps. When your case is sent to the embassy, NVC will email you something called a Welcome Letter. It has loose instructions of what your next steps will be. It’s not complete by any means
