  1. Welcome and Congratulations on your approval! This thread was created for those who are waiting for their NOA2 K-1 case assignment from NVC and then tracking your case onwards to your Embassy. Your case will be forwarded from USCIS to NVC shortly. Once your case has arrived at NVC , you will be assigned a new case number (your old USCIS case number will not give you any NVC updates). A few helpful NVC links: ➡️ NVCResearch@state.gov ⬅️ NVC phone number is (603)334-0888 I am including this in hopes that they will reinstate the number in the future but : 🚨 They are currently NOT answering queries over the phone!! ⭐️They are primarily answering all queries solely via their public contact page⭐️ 🚨 NVC PUBLIC INQUIRY FORM: If you need to submit an inquiry, change an address , request your new NVC case number or need to update your info in anyway NVC has a public inquiry form where you can submit your request as well as many other requests: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html Once you’ve received your NVC case number you can track your case online using the following link, until it is sent to your embassy: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?App=IV Also, inside the attached PDF below are a few tips, tricks and hacks to help you along the way. These are items that everyone asks for, so they have been very helpfully put together by senior VJMember Greenbaum for you to refer to when necessary. If you are new to this thread, please read these first as these are the most asked questions. ⭐️Please note, it was brought to my attention that some of the information may be outdated, but most of the helpful tips and tricks are still accurate. Regarding your packet 3, there isn’t anyone within VJ currently providing that information for each embassy so that part of the PDF may be disregarded.⭐️ https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing NVC sends petitions to the embassy every two weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I noticed a 2024 shipping calendar being shared so I have included it below. You can use that calendar to track when the next shipment date will be.
  2. 1. It means exactly what it says in the message. Your payment is sent to them as a request and must be approved by them in order for them to grant you access to the embassy interview calendar 2. Correct. you cannot do the medical exam in Santo Domingo without having an interview date scheduled 3. Also correct. you will bring all of that in person with you on the date of your interview 4. Yes you do need to do a VAC appointment but they are scheduled along with the embassy appointment (which you are currently waiting for approval for from the embassy). Once you receive approval from the embassy regarding your payment, you will then schedule both the VAC and Embassy appointments together (depending on the availability of the calendar)

  5. It’ll be within the same day or following day . You’ll know it was yours if it says In Transit
  6. These are old references. Thank you for pointing it out. I’ll make sure to omit them going forward as there is no one in charge of packet 3 information for all embassies that I know of. I took over the reposting of these forums NOA2 to EMBASSY posts and just copy and pasted some of the old information so I may need to just revise it
  7. Yes that’s correct. That’sall there is for now until you receive your packet
  8. That’s correct. K1 applicants do not need the Invoice Number. and thank you for pointing out the pdf. I haven’t actually peeked at that in a really long time. It’s something that has been included in these posts for awhile so it might be beneficial to review and see if it is still accurate

  10. Whoops! I can’t edit the title but you are correct. It should read 2024 🙂🙂 Also, did you request your case number ? You don’t have to wait for them to send it
  11. Filing fees for AOS went up. Boundless told you $1225? I saw online it was $1440

  13. What you listed aren’t the same things as a tax return. He needs to provide a copy of his most recent tax returns. The IRS transcript is super quick to print out online.
  14. Because your embassy isn’t requesting new cases at a fast pace. That doesn’t mean that other embassies aren’t faster. It’s best to join groups that are also from your embassy to be able to make comparable estimates For some yes, for others no. Depends on the embassy
  15. This question will depend according to each embassy . So To answer your question, NVC takes possession of your case fairly quickly. Within 30 days of the date of your approval, you should be able to obtain your new NVC case #. I think the second part of your question would be, When does your specific embassy request the cases from NVC? That will vary depending on the embassy. For example my embassy is the Dominican Republic and they request cases from NVC around every 30-45 days. This may not be true for your embassy which is I why I say that this will depend on how frequently your embassy is requesting more cases. If you are seeing 5-6 months wait time at NVC for other cases who are also at your embassy then that’s a fair estimate to go by
