Call -- if there are local and D.C. offices, call the D.C. office -- and ask for the immigration liaison.
There should be a release form on your Congressman's website. This, when completed, gives their office permission to intercede in various matters on your behalf. Have that open on your computer screen when you call, and have them walk you through its completion and submission.
If the immigration liaison is unavailable when you call, fill out the form as best you can, and either submit it right then or call the office back.

Eidbanger got a reaction from OldUser in Green card expires after 2 years for K1 visa holder, need to renew?
When should it be filed. Is there a guide on this forum I can reference?
Never mind, I guess I should have google'd first. The instructions on the USCIS website are pretty clear. https://www.uscis.gov/i-751

Yes, that’s a good place to start. The Filing Calculator is helpful in knowing when your filing window opens.
There’s a guide on VJ too if you want to look at it as well:

Our beneficiaries got here tonight. Picked them up at O'Hare , just got them settled in for the night. Their flight landed at 8pm but they didn't get out of CBP clearance until nearly 3 hours later. Apparently there were a lot of other U4U folks on the same flight from Warsaw, and they were processing all of them in a group. Asked a bunch of questions, took photos, not quite sure what else took 3 hours. Anyway, the ordeal is over and they're now officially and legally in the US. Tomorrow we can start the million +1 things needed to integrate them successfully.

Avoid LAX if possible. Beneficiary plane landed and finished taxi at 315pm. Got out at 7pm and that was only after saying that she wasn't feeling well. They kept her and a bunch of other parolees (50-80 people) In a locked room, not allowing cell phones. "Interviews" were really slow... I had provided my beneficiary who doesnt speak any english with a statement saying where she will be staying, who will be picking her up, etc. And that seemed like it didn't help ease the process.

Hello everyone.
thank you for all the information here. It was very helpful.
we submitted the online application on May 19th, got travel authorization on May 21st, and picked up beneficiaries from the airport on May 26th. Very fast!
I just want to share more about what happens after they arrive.
1. TB blood exam within 2 weeks of arrival to USA. I found an USCIS approved civil surgeon that did this for cheap, we paid cash. Since they don’t have medical insurance yet.
2. Medical insurance. After calling many numbers, I found Russian speaking medical insurance agent that is now working to get them free medical insurance,
but I will confirm once we actually receive it, fingers crossed.
3. Work permit. Fill out I-765. It’s not possible to do that online, you have to send it, together with $410 fee
4. Benefits. Like SNAP … etc. We haven’t applied for those yet, I will share once we do.

Yes, U4U is humanitarian Parole. From what I understand the information you quoted is true. Health insurance can be obtained through the healthcare.gov site.

My beneficiaries currently have health insurance through our state marketplace. State marketplace. They also had an interview today for temporary assistance as well as snap benefits. I am not an attorney though. But my understanding was there was a new law that passed that says they're eligible. Even though we are sponsoring them. The application asked if there was a sponsor and we said yes.

This sounds like the officer has no idea what he's talking about. Just submit an application... it's free and all online.
