    You’re not eligible to adjust status through your father. Your visa number is not available and won’t be for the next 9+ years (you can have a look a the visa bulletin F1 category). Your I-485 will be denied so you need the leave the US ASAP and wait for the process abroad in order to avoid getting a ban for unlawful presence.

    Since there’s no appeal for a denied ESTA, I’d advise to get a refund for the airfare or electronic credit for your partner and and use that to plan a vacation for elsewhere for next time.

    They will not be corroborating it through you. They will not contact you and you will not get to tell them any details. This will be adjudicated completely without you. That’s how it works. This is not a criminal court case. I’m not saying all VAWAs are honest but this is done to protect victims of violence so they do not become victims again once the abuser hears about the VAWA case.

    They’re probably taking about adjustment of status cases - a lot of interviews are indeed being waived and I-485 approved without an interview. I have never heard of that for consular interviews. I don’t see them ever waiving those due to US security concerns.

Please post all questions relating to one topic (interview scheduling) in one thread only ~~ Yes, everybody experiences that because everyone’s physical file is sent by DHL from the US to the consulate abroad. This takes a while, whereas electronic file is instant. Why are you bombarding them with emails? That’s unnecessary. Follow their instructions.
