Update on this: My brother had his appointment today in the embassy for B1/B2 visa. Officer said he will be contacting a colleague to see the reason for ESTA denial, once that is sorted out, he will have his passport back in approx.two weeks. Only question my brother was asked were what does he do for work, is he tenured, and is he married.

If this was the case, wouldn't he of been denied before? Or the passport numbers should be different Looking at the reasons for requesting that foia, do they apply in this case, as it didn't happen at a port of entry etc?

How can you do a FOIA request? Appreciate the help and advice.

Ya it's very strange. I don't think there is any way to find out? Also he can only see other appointments times if he cancels his current appointment which he can't do

Yes all of them were. Nothing has changed since he last travelled. My brother is a assistant professor at an University in Ireland, has never even gotten a traffic ticket

Yes they were all truthful. He has only been to the US once on a trip 2 years ago. The only reason that might of flag him is he is leaving the US for a trip to Guatemala and Costa Rica and then back to Ireland Yes

He was in the USA for about 10 days 2 years ago

He has had ESTA before, entered and left the US before under the VWP with no issue. He applied for his new esta thinking there would be no problem but was denied.

I double checked his application and he did not answer yes to any questions regarding conviction, overstay, etc..

Hi all, Posting on behalf of my brother. He is planning to travel to the US to visit me and applied for an esta which was denied. He has strong ties to Ireland so dont understand reason for denial. He has applied for the b2 visa. The expedited appointment is on Friday the 15 however he is meant to be flying the Thursday 10th. What other ways is there to conract the embassy and asked to be put on cancelation list etc?

Hello, I am travelling back home for one week on my expired green card. I have applied for my I751 and have received my notice of action. What should I bring with me in addition to this notice and expired green card whilst travelling? I do have a previous overstay on my record and every time I have always been brought to the secondary inspection room.

If I can't use fedex to deliver to a PO Box, is my only other option to use usps? Do you think I can send back the exact same package even if the pages are marked with serial numbers? Does it matter if the cheque is in my husbands name or does it need to be in mine? -

I rang my local fedex to see on the off chance that a cheque was found...the guy that packaged it up for me found it.... So I guess there was never a cheque included because it had fallen out... what are the chances... The rejection notice says to resubmit package with correct fee to address listed at the bottom of the page. It is to a PO box number - can I user fedex again? And to place green letter on top of new filling package. I was planning on resubmitting the package they sent back to me, but I noticed that the bottom of each page has a serial number - should I reprint everything again?
