  1. If the USC/US Resident has been divorced, make sure you have all the divorce paperwork (original or certified copy) to take to the interview.
  2. if they did not mention originals/certified copies, then photocopy is fine (you are not likely to get your originals back if you mail them). Be aware though, you will likely need the original of these items at your spouses interview.
  3. The ADIT stamp goes into your passport.
  4. Some notes: the doctor in RJ my wife called that office, and was told to email. They only responded when being emailed in Portuguese. Depending on age of the applicant depends on what tests have to be performed, the documentation said the tests have to be done 4 days before the medical appointment, and the medical appointment has to be at least 4 days before the interview at the consulate. Were told that the RX emails the scans to the doctor, and the doctor emails to the consulate. Also the medical only requires 6 (not 10) 3x4 cm photos. And it seems near impossible to get a 51mm square photo here in Brazil. So taking 2 5x5 cm photos instead. And the CASV finally recognized her case number when i checked at 00:46 on the 29th of June.
  5. That does seem odd, but since they said everything is okay, I guess just continue to wait for the interview letter.
  6. @ZRomper timeline for @Micam is showing: Packet 3 Received : 2023-06-19 (thinking this is their IL received date) Interview Date : 2023-08-30
  7. It all depends on the country, you don't have a timeline and have not stated where your spouse is coming from.
  8. I meant "no guarantee", even if it's forced to the embassy for interview, it could still go into a long AP. And no, fortunately Brazil does not have a long backlog, so I don't have personal experience. Just going off what I had read.
  9. I have never read of someone successfully getting B2 visa after they have filed the i130 for them on VisaJourney. I did however see a claim that someone was able to do exactly that on a Facebook group i am a member of. Unfortunately there is only one way to be certain, and that is to try. As normal try to prove you have a reason to return, work, house, spousal interview... Please report back on your attempt.
  10. 42 days after the letter.
  11. 15 days from submitting all the proper & correct paperwork to NVC to get the DQ, 32 days from DQ to Interview Letter, and the Interview itself was scheduled 42 days later.
  12. The subject of the email is Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment, has the current date, the the case number & invoice number and then the name of who is being interviewed. They refer you to https://nvc.state.gov/prep and ends with Immigrant Visa Interview Details, which includes Interview Date/Time, the Interview location (city, country only), the NVC case number and Invoice ID, the Principal Applicant (name and address), preference category (currently CR1 though will be changing to IR1 before the interview) and the A#. I don't think in general they do packet 3 and 4 anymore.
  13. ais-usvisa-info website where you also register for how they are going to get your passport back to you. ASC is mainly fingerprints. As I noted, Singapore consulate may do their own fingerprints.
  14. Updating myself here, I have been checking morning, and evening (at least) on the ais site, finally last night (well 00:23 29/6/2023) her case number was finally recognized by the site, got her ASC appointment scheduled (in Brazil only 2 locations have onsite fingerprinting, and Rio is not one of them). And the medical asked to be emailed a copy of the interview letter (sent that yesterday at 16:20).
  15. At least in Brazil, they require you still go the ASC for Rio de Janerio consulate which is where the CR1/IR1 interviews are handled. When you go to ais site, it should tell you if you need to go the ASC. As for timing, I hope they don't take more than a couple of hours. My wife's appointment is scheduled for July 31, 2023.
  16. btw, how long before the ais recognizes? And if ais does not recognize it, is there any hope that the medical would recognize it?
  17. Update, today June 26th @ 4:22am Brazil time, we got the Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment for Aug 7th. Going to wait a day before trying to contact the medical
  18. Finally got the Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment email for my wife, August 7th, 2023 at 7:20am in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Interesting though the interview letter does not seem to contain the US Consulate address in RJ.
  19. My wife's case was DQ'd on May 25th for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, still waiting on the Interview letter.
  20. Btw, in May 2023 NVC was taking about 15 days to DQ the cases, as long as you don't get an RFE.
  21. Based on their timeline @mochon got their interview date of 2023-07-18 for London, probably on 2023-05-23
  22. These days unless the petitioner is listed as needing to be there, they usually are not allowed entry. So your option if you go to, is it to wait outside.
  23. I too used H&R Block, did my taxes in person on March 9th when my wife was visiting me in California. Then waited for the paper filing to process. The state refund landed in my account on May 11th. Also the ITIN number was received on May 14. The federal refund didn't land in my banking account until Aug 17th.
