We got an RFE for I-693.
"You must provide the following information in order for us to make a final decision on your case:
Submit a complete Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. This
form is required to complete your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust
Status. Your existing Form I-693 was signed by the civil surgeon more than two years ago and is
expired. Please submit a new Form I-693 completed by a designated civil surgeon."
The letter also says "All Forms I-693 signed by civil surgeons on or after October 5, 2022 must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693."
However, the 07/19/2022 edition is no longer available at USCIS website, and the current edition is 03/09/2023. "Starting May 31, we will accept only the 03/09/23 edition".
The one major difference between 03/09/2023 edition and 07/19/2022 edition is that in 03/09/2023 edition Part 1. 4. K1 visa holder is eligible for completion vaccination record portion only.
When we submitted AOS package, the medical examination which took oversea is still within 1 year and therefore we only submitted the marked "completed" 3025 form. Now we received the RFE says the existing I693 was signed more than two years ago. It is not true since we didn't submit I693 and the medical and 3025 were signed both still within 2 years. We are not going argue with USCIS on this and decided to send a new I693. But just confused which edition we should use. Do we need to get medical done if we can use 03/09/2023 edition or just vaccination?
